If you want to see how crazy Fango is, you shouldn’t miss this episode. Why? Read for yourself!
When Nero reaches the Island, Fango tries to get him to follow his order so that Nero clearly understands his current status. However, Nero is witty enough to avoid his orders in a peaceful way. First, Fango orders Nero to tell him how he is going to catch Don Orco but Nero requests for some food before he answers him. Fango then puts his boot on the counter and orders Nero to lick it, stating that it’s made of Italian cow. Nero lowers down his head and grabs a knife to pierce it! Well, you can’t eat a steak without cutting it into smaller pieces, right? Sweet move! Fango is very pleased by Nero’s wittiness and finally offers him the meal he requested.
Now that Fango has taken the gang in, they start to worry about their mission: bringing Don Orco to Fango. Barbero, who was acting as Nero’s brain for years, hasn’t got any idea but Avilio already has something in mind. Before he tells us his plan, he requests for a chicken…
Nero suits up and goes to Ottimo Orco with Avilio. They request to meet Don Orco for business talk. They meet Don Orco without trouble and have some lasagna together. Nero offers Don Orco a taste of Lawless Heaven. Apparently, a bottle of delicious alcohol is like a master key that opens all doors for you, including your enemies’. Therefore, you can imagine how interested Don Orco is when Nero says that he is willing to give his EVERYTHING, notably the recipe and brewery, in exchange of a place to lie low.
During their conversation, Don Orco attracts Avilio’s attention when he states that he has known Vincent Vanetti for more than 40 years. Can he be the forth person at the night of the murder? Avilio manages to find out when Nero is showing an Orco member the way to “The Lodge”. Unfortunately, Don Orco is not the man he wants. Avilio isn’t disappointed, instead he asks Don Orco whether he is willing to take him in, since Nero is finished now. Well, this sounds like an obvious trap to me, so it is no surprise that Don Orco choose not to trust him. When you thought that there is no way Avilio could gain Don Orco’s trust like that, Avilio suddenly reveals his true identity: Angelo Lagusa, the son of Testa Lagusa! Yes, THAT true identity. Is he serious about double-crossing Nero now?
Don Orco finally understands who Avilio really is. Before they can talk in details, Don Orco’s man asks him to come. All of them enter the Lodge, where no one is there. Something definitely smells fishy here. Remember how bustling this place was in the last episode? How can it be so empty now?
Anyway, Nero is calm and fearless. He pours a glass of liquor and offers it to Don Orco. When Don Orco is still hesitating whether he should drink it, a noise comes out from a pile of barrels. Don Orco signals his man, Corvo, to shoot all the barrels. Liquor flows out from each of the barrel, except for one. Right after Don Orco smashes his glass on the ground, Vople springs out from the empty barrel and starts shooting! However, he escapes very soon, unable to handle all the gunners himself.
Nero, whose hands were tied up, wants to escape. But before he can run, he is shocked to see Avilio, who is now pointing a gun to him. “I have been waiting for this moment,” says Avilio with serious eyes. All of this happened so sudden. Is Avilio going to get his revenge now?! I’m not sure about Nero, but I am very confused by Avilio’s action.
Without hesitation, Avilio shoots at Nero. Red blood appears on Nero’s shirt. After a few shots, Nero falls down on the ground, motionless. Avilio then turns his gun to Don Orco. Don Orco is so overwhelmed with joy that he let his guard down. So when Avilio offers him some liquor to celebrate, he drinks without thinking. He didn’t notice that Avilio wasn’t drinking at all. Within seconds, Don Orco and Corvo fall down dizzily, seeing Nero’s smile of victory in his blurred vision. When he wakes up, Fango greets him with passion and declares that he is getting EVERYTHING from him.
Next, Fango dresses like a chef and welcomes all executives of the Orcos at “Ottimo Orco”. He announces that the “Orco family” is now officially the “Fango family”. The restaurant “Ottimo Orco” is changed to “Ottimo Fango” too… Then he serves Don Orco’s favourite lasagna to the members. Corvo is suspicious about the Lasagna. He takes a bite, under Fango’s earnest stare, and finds it amazingly good. He hopes that Don Orco can try this too but Fango replies that that is impossible as that is the last remaining… Everyone savours this incredible lasagna, until someone found something that isn’t supposed to be part of normal lasagna… They finally understand why Don Orco can never try this…
Back in Nero’s room, everyone is eating lasagna (not sure whether it’s the same as what Corvo is eating) and the chicken which helped them in their acting. Although Volpe is happy that they made it through, Barbero is not as optimistic as him. He thinks things will get harder from now on. Our cunning Avilio simply says that Fango still has enemies, who have become their enemies too. When Nero asks him to explain in details, Avilio suggests that they should eat before the lasagna gets cold.
Looks like Avilio has to prepare some brilliant evil plans again.
