After last week’s fulfilling, explosive episode, things were bound to take a slower pace. Queen Mirella holds a gathering with our four heroes to try and work out their differences, but paving a clean slate is nothing but easy.
Japanese Original Title: 勇者会議
Things begin to settle after the trial for the king and Myne. Queen Mirellia ask the four heroes to meet with in order to discuss something of crave importance and the chance for the heroes to put aside their differences – work out their issues. This doesn’t come easy, and everyone have a new destination in sight thanks to the queens intel.
Like Mother Like Daughter: Melty and her mother are one and the same. Queen Mirellia got excited over fact Mely met Fitoria, Queen of the Filolas. This was such a funny side to see of the queen, letting her walls down a little. Only made me love her character more.
The Evil Pie: You know. I know. Bitch suits Myne just fine now as she was up to her usual tricks, poisoning a pie in a revenge attempt. But I love Myne’s sheer will to accept this. I have a feeling we have not seen the last of her.
Don’t Go: Anybody else’s heart just died a tad When Raphtalia towards the end the episode confides in him? She doesn’t want him to leave. Then my heart died some more when Naofumi cloaks over the idea he won’t leave till Filo and Raphtalia have found happiness. Awww oh no, another scene that is going to break fans of this series when the times comes. Could you love Naofumi’s character even more? YES !!
Cheat: Ren, Itsuki, and Motoyasu had some nerve calling Naofumi’s shield a cheat, insulting, and degrading all his sheer hard work and struggle to reach the point he is at now. Jealousy is all I sensed from the other three and still need time to comprehend their situation if they have any hope of saving the world and getting back home.
Believe: ‘A little trust and bit of pixie dust’ quote from Disney’s Peter Pan means that all you need is to believe and have a little faith and then you’ll be able to fly. That is what was required for Naofumi and the other heroes: to believe in one another and stop fighting. Only then will they get the class upgrades they need but that is easier said than done, considering all has happened so far. Naofumi was the first to at least have a little belief and unlock the new abilities that Itsuki, Ren and Motoyasu mentioned at the meeting.
L’Arc: A new face has been introduced, L’Arc, who I know will be playing a role in the series and I am curious to learn more about him.
Reconciliation: Things didn’t go all that smoothly during the talk as they were trying to reach some sort of understanding. It’s a starting point for our four heroes. Whilst a failure the meeting, that doesn’t mean all hope is lost for everyone to unite. They don’t have to be best buddies but as long as they can meet halfway, that’s better than not trying to come to a mutual understanding.
Abilities: Motoyasu, Ren, and Itsuki revealed interesting information about abilities Naofumi was unaware of. Touching any weapon will be automatically copied thanks to the copy system. They will feed your weapon directly and craft items with generate automatically; all this time Naofumi had been doing it by hand. There is also a teleport option that allows being transported to any desired place.
Leveling Up: I liked the fact that the heroes can’t level up due to all their bickering. That tells me there is a significant meaning in the hero’s bond that is going much deeper than we realize.
Cal Mira Archipelago: A one-in-a-decade event that happens on Cal Mira for people to boost their stats.
Can anyone feel a second season coming? Well, I hope one to be announced soon. With only three episodes to go, the series has now delved into the heroes growing their bonds and the waves being the primary focus. Maybe I am wrong but it would be a mistake for the series to conclude everything in three episodes, which I doubt it will. But glad this episode was a bit slow. Last week’s one just blew me away, which I don’t need to talk about all over again. Ren, Itsuki, and Motoyasu clearly have a lot of growing to do and need to get serious about their current situation. Naofumi right now is the only one with a clear direction. He wonders what it will take to wake the rest of the heroes.
I liked the focus this week on the four heroes’s current state as a group. There is lot to be worked on. Everyone is heading to Cal Mira and who knows what awaits them! Just give me a Season two announcement; that’s all I ask.
