This episode I went in blind and while it gave me a vision of what the last episode will be like, it did not give me anything I had expected or wanted from this anime. It wasn’t a bad episode, but it mostly served the purpose of preparing everything for the grande finale in Episode 12.
Japanese Title: 二人の決意 (Futari no Ketsui)
Stella’s team is still trying to deal with the death of their commander, which surprisingly hits Huey and Stella the hardest, who have a fight. They don’t have a lot of time to sort out their problems, because Princess Yuki suddenly makes an announcement: They have a new weapon, as strong as no other, which could turn around and end the war in her favor without problems. Grandiga reacts accordingly and secures the capital as well as the outer borders. Yuki in the meantime is on her way to old Verde territory to find out more about how Yuki will be able to stop all the chrars from working. Her only wish is to save the planet and the only way to do so is by stopping all the chrars at once. Stella and her squad however are positioned at just that border and ready to stop the enemy.
I thought maybe something happened to her, but thankfully the makers of this series weren’t quite as cruel. So for now, Yuni is alive! Fingers crossed it stays that way!
We already knew, but she talks properly about her daughter with Yuki. On top of that, she actually acts like Yuki’s mom and hugs her. I really liked that scene, it made me feel a lot better about Yuki losing so many people dear to her.
The scene where she and Huey fight was an absolute pleasure to watch. He deserved what he got and seeing her crack under the loss and pressure was also something I have been waiting for, especially because all of her teammates were there to witness it.
So we heard the plan and now we are only waiting for it to go down! That was pretty much the biggest highlight of the episode: the end is near! I am still not sure if I am looking forward to it or not… But their plan sounds as insane as ever and very conveniently easy. With only one episode to go, I guess there wasn’t much to be done…
I would have expected more interaction between the two girls, more of a friendship throughout the series. I was looking forward to an ‘enemies turn friends’ story. So of course the meeting between Stella and Yuki is the one single thing I am totally hyped for at this point and I am looking forward to it so much but I am prepared to get disappointed. What kind of meeting could they have, what kind of understanding for each other, that would make me accept it? I am curious and will give it a chance, though I am pretty sure I won’t be able to give it a fair one. My expectations were too high for that. Sorry.
