By now, don’t you just want to know what this goddamn box does? This week’s episode felt like was tiptoeing around the whole issue. Yuliy finds out his father’s sacrifice and more about the Arc Of Sirius, while the Royal Vampires are setting a trap for the young wolf. It was a slow episode this week for Tenrou: Sirius The Jaeger but let’s dive into the review!
Japanese Original Title: 父親の影
Yuliy encounters an old friend of his father, who knows more about the Arc Of Sirius than he is letting on. The Vampires are running out of time in order to save their clan and Ryoka and Iba tag along for the ride.
Running Out Of Time: We know that the Vampires need the Arc Of Sirius to save their clan. It wasn’t until this episode that we got a glimpse as to why this is so. Yevgraf also puts a stop to Mikhail warning his younger brother of the trap placed for him. One of the Royals called ‘Slaves’, coughs up blood and just loses control. In the end, he is killed and indicates there is a virus that overtakes the Vampires, causing them to lose their minds. Hmm, all very interesting but it was a random moment to have.
Relief For Yuliy: Yuliy meets his father’s long time friend in this episode. He brought Yuliy relief of what happened to his father and gave Yuliy clearer direction on what he must do.
Great Conrades: It’s disappointing that the other jaegers’ backgrounds, like Fallon and Dorothea’s, haven’t been explored. All of Yuliy’s comrades care about Yuliy and traveled all the way to his homeland, Dog ville to help him bury his dead clan members and be on standby when Yuliy needs them. The connection is there.
I wasn’t excited about by the end and felt it was lacking any excitement. The series for long enough now has been tiptoeing around the purpose of this box. I just WANT to know what the thing does. It’s becoming apparent that the series lacks any serious character background coverage and a scary main villain. I’m still keen to know how all this will end but since the beginning of this series, my excitement has already halved. Unless we can get an epic conclusion, then hell yeah! As I mentioned last week, we were teased about the coming conclusion for the series, which I’m positive it’s going to be twelve-episodes long.
This week’s episode was lackluster for me. Up until now, everything has been exciting. But, excitement has to hit a wall at some point. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the series, but can we find out more about this box, PLEASE?
Tell us in the comment below what you thought of this week’s episode and don’t forget to check out MANGA.TOKYO and the rest of the summer series we are reviewing this season.
See you next week!!
