Ahh, I was worried about this finale, but damn, all the stops were pulled out for it! Just like with Full Metal Panic Invisible Victory, it seems it’s not over for Sirius The Jaeger, even with this being the last episode. AHH, YES, Let’s just jump in right now!!
Yevgraf consumes the Arc into this body and that makes him to begin losing himself. Due to how powerful the Arc is, he is now turning on his own kind. A resolved Yuliy finally comes on scene ready to fulfill his new purpose for his people, the Sirius. Mikhail and Yuliy band together to stop Yevgraf and take back the Arc.
For Family: Yuliy started the series hating vampires. Now he wants to coexist with them and all races. It is quite the drastic change through twelve episodes. The finale episode summarised this fact of Yuliy’s newfound resolve he found for himself. This newly reformed Yuliy made me feel all warm and fuzzy, especially compared to the one at the beginning. This transition he went through made me love Yuliy’s character more.
Goodbye Brother: Anybody else shed a tear during the sad scene of Yuliy’s last moments with his brother Mikhail? It was a matter of time for Mikhail’s end after he deliberately took in the vampire illness to break free from Yevgraf control. It wasn’t till this episode that I began to feel sorry for Mikhail; all he had done was to protect Yuliy, even turning himself into a vampire. Their parting scene was bittersweet but still SAD!.
It’s Love: It’s officially confirmed as from the beginning of the episode when Dorothea yelled out to Ryoko that Ryoko is in love with Yuliy; that was hilarious.
Professor Is Dad: AHH, My heart stopped for a few seconds. Yuliy calling Professor Willard ‘Dad’. That was just AN ADORABLE SCENE.
Action And Music Stellar: Throughout the entirety of Sirius The Jaeger, the action sequences and music have always been strong. For the finale both were at their strongest, in all the suspenseful and dramatic moments. Yuliy and Mikhail fighting Yevgraf was a gripping watch in keeping with the abrupt, robust music. Action and music in perfect sync throughout. Ugh SOO GOOD!
Damn That Hair: When Yuliy finally took back the Arc, damn that hair change. Streaks of white and blue. WHY!! Couldn’t he have looked like that in the beginning because you know, it was sexy.
Pride: If you have too much pride it can be your downfall. Not willing to think of others, people will presume you are full of yourself. Yuliy builds up a new resolve to carry on his father’s pride and for the Sirius, his people. How Yuliy viewed and took on his father’s words was refreshing. That it wasn’t about selfishness but Yuliy wanted to show the new pride his father had. Wishing to coexist with all races around them including vampires’. Yuliy wishes to achieve this goal.
Well, I’ll be damned. After all my worry regarding how Sirius The Jaeger would end, this finale was fitting. I loved it but at the same time, I felt certain parts were rushed, especially Mikhail and Yuliy parting scene where Mikhail dies and then move on to the next dramatic scene. It would have annoyed me if Sirius The Jaeger had concluded along the lines: Yuliy uses the arc to save the world – then that’s it.
Instead, it was fitting that Yuliy takes possession of the Arc and makes it his mission to carry on his father’s wish: to use the power of the Arc in order to bring peace among races such as humans, vampires’ but also to show newfound pride of Yuliy’s people and redeem them from their past mistakes and not let Yuliy father’s sacrifice be for nothing. I think this is a wonderful new viewpoint for Yuliy, going from a path of revenge and hate for Vampires to wishing to be able to coexist with them and other races, good news with all this – this series is not over. A second season has not been confirmed as of now but Yuliy taking off on his own with the Arc and newfound mission, it is plain obvious that things won’t be left like this. Which makes me excited.
So that’s why this ending was fitting and set my previous worries aside. Ugh loved everything about this last episode for Sirius The Jaeger and this vampire thriller will return at some point.
Well everybody, we have reached the end of this vampire thriller for now. But, this is not the end, just like with Full Metal Panic Invisible Victory, haha. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for a future season two announcement or sequel. Sirius The Jaeger is certainly a special gem this Summer 2018 season and cannot wait for more.
Tell me in the comments below what you thought of Sirius The Jaeger ending? Do you need Season 2 or a sequel now?
