Hello everyone! We are already on Episode 7 of Sword Oratoria, which means we are nearing the end of the show! Kind of a pity if you ask me, because as I have probably said many times already in my previous reviews, that the anime is one of the best of the season, despite the fact that it is practically filled with fan service. The plot is unusually well written, the animation is pretty amazing, and the soundtrack is epic. I could simply go on with the praise forever.
But more importantly, let’s talk about the latest episode. We have picked up some pace compared to the previous episode, but not enough to get answers to many questions. Honestly, I think at this pace the Gaiden: Sword Oratoria series might not even catch up to the part where season one ended. But nonetheless, the season is progressing and we keep getting more and more episodes every week!
Japanese Original Episode Title:依頼と分断
This episode might have been a bit tiring compared to others since it had too many characters come up in a span of twenty minutes. Not that it was a bad thing, just a bit out of balance. We got to see more gods in one episode than throughout the whole season. Makes it a bit hard to realize what’s going on. I’m not even talking about the supporting characters.
But either way, what bothers me is the redhead. Who is she? What is her problem? Why doesn’t anybody know about her even though she’s so strong? These questions are quite bothersome, and we can only hope to get answers. What gets to me the most is the fact that she knows some personal information about Aiz. What in the world is an Aria? A name? A title? A race? GIVE ME SOME ANSWERS!!!
We got to see an interesting clocked creature, clad in black. The voice didn’t sound quite humane to me. Might be a mage because he could appear from nothing and turn to dust, but I don’t think that the one under the black robes is an Elf.
The episode was filled with different events, so it is really hard to pick a scene and call it the highlight of the episode. But for me personally, it would be the scene where the old man in the dungeon town tried to get money from Aiz and Bete to do them favors, and in return the members of Loki Familia pretty much put him in a very uncomfortable situation. A bit of a lighthearted scene in this pretty dark episode.
Pinpointing a main theme in this episode will also be hard. But I’d say it’s about teamwork once again. You may ask why? Well, I think it’s because we get to see Aiz work with the Hermes Familia, and then we see Lefiya and Bete looking for Aiz together with Dionysus’ ‘child.’ While things might be going better for the former party in terms of teamwork, Lefiya is having a hard time trying to even stop her companions from fighting each other. Though I think this will change based on the situation.
Well, we have watched seven episodes already, but the thing is we have been simply given a lot of questions and no answers whatsoever. I wish they finally started giving us some explanations. There is nothing worse than not having any idea of what’s happening, and especially why it’s happening. Hopefully the remaining episodes do us the favor of showing something that might resolve at least some major questions.
But anyway, the review ends here. What did you think about this episode? Maybe you have any idea who the redhead is? Let us know in the comments below by using either the forum or the Facebook tab!
