Did you think that Ainz was the only true Overlord? As it turns out, Enri might have a strong chance of being the second most powerful character in the show. All hail the Goblin Queen!
Japanese Original Episode Title: もう一つの戦い
Prince Barbro is planning to take the villagers of Carne Village as hostages in order to make Ainz surrender. As the Prince arrives outside the village and Lupusregina informs Ainz about the situation, he orders her to protect the four important people in the village and not let the army find out about their potion experiments. Enri and the villagers decide to stay faithful to Ainz and fight back the Prince. The ogres and the goblins start attacking the army from the main gate in order to buy some time for the villagers, Enri and Nphirea, who are in the process of escaping from the back gate. But the forces of the Prince have already surrounded the village, which makes Enri use her last magic summoning horn. As it turns out, to Ainz’s surprise, Enri summoned a very powerful army of goblins that annihilate the Prince’s army and secure the village’s safety. The Prince and the remaining soldiers who are left alive flee but Lupusregina catches up with them and massacres everyone with the help of a special goblin unit.
Papa Bones is not as kind as he looks: When he talks with Lupusregina about the situation of Carne village, he says that he doesn’t really care about the village itself but only for the potion experiments. He then adds that she has to protect Nphirea and the others but he sounded so mean when he said that. What about all the heartwarming moments he spent with Enri’s sister when he was showing her around Nazarick? Come on Papa Bones, don’t try to hide your sweet and kind side.
Enri the Chief: The villagers call her ’Chief‘ in the village and she starts getting so upset about it. Imagine now that everyone will start calling her ‘Honorable General Enri’. She will arm wrestle everyone to death. I am actually glad that Enri gets to have an important role in the overall story after all. It was amazing to see Ainz startled by her ‘abilities’ when she summoned the army. I guess this goes to show that you should never underestimate the weak.
Themes & Trivia
The epic Goblin army: Okay, let me elaborate a little bit more on the ‘Horn of the Goblin General’. YGGDRASIL was a game about discovery. The players had little information about the game mechanics, the world, the monsters as well as what the items actually did. Most items were custom-made by the players, but there were some items called Artifacts which were found as item drops and the ‘Horn of the Goblin General’ was one of those items. Apparently, this item had three requirements and when they were met, it fully unleashed its true power. Even in the light novel, it is not clear what these requirements are but the fans speculate the following:
First, the player needed levels in the ‘Commander’ or ‘General’ class.
Second, one needed to be in good standing amongst the goblin faction in YGGDRASIL.
Third, one needed to be desperately outnumbered by an enemy force.
It’s believed that most players would have antagonized or killed too many goblins early on, which is why no player ever discovered the hidden use of the horn – and even if they did, they wouldn’t think to use such a weak item when desperately outnumbered.

Am I the only one that finds the CGI effects truly atrocious? Especially the goblins in this episode were just awful and hilarious at the same time. I hope that they kept the best effects for the last episode or something…
I just have to say good luck to Enri naming five thousand goblins. But seriously these goblins will now build her a whole Empire. They will not tolerate their Honorable General living in a shitty old village.
A,lso I would like to add that I loved how Ainz was observing everything from the portal in his tent and reacting like he was watching an exciting episode of his favorite show.
And in case it wasn’t very clear: Solly is Solution, Lupus likes giving cute nicknames to the rest of the Pleiades.
I think it’s safe to assume that Prince Barbo is very dead by now and that in the next episode we will finally witness the epic war battle between Ainz, the Empire, and E-Rantel.
