It’s a shame that the manga of NTR: Netsuzou Trap doesn’t have many chapters. I would have liked some full episodes where Hotaru is given more time to express her desire for her friend and the reasons behind that desire. Still, Episode 3 was another well-paced addition.
Japanese Title: また練習しよっか
Hotaru insists on blaming a twisted sense of humor for all her advances on Yuma. The joke is on her in this episode, since Yuma stands up for herself for the first time, sensing that something is not right with how her best friend is reacting. Yuma is in denial. Her relationship with Hotaru went from best friends to full-blown erotic lovers, yet she justifies that it’s alright between them because they’re both girls and just friends. That didn’t stop her from accusing Hotaru that inside the bathroom she almost raped her. And that she did, after some censored boob bathing.
I didn’t put it in, did I?
Also, this was the first time that I really sympathized with Hotaru. There is truth in what she said: Yuma could have stopped her in any of their encounters. Just like she did on the mountain.
If you’d really resist, I wouldn’t be able to do anything to you
I’m still confused when it comes to Fujiwara and Hotaru’s relationship. My dirty mind wants to interpret that ear whisper as a blackmail, ‘Let’s sleep together or I will tell everything to Takeda.’ Yet, that hug in the beginning of the scene and the way they get along when they are by themselves complicates things. If Hotaru was abused by Fujiwara, she would have surely done something about it. It’s not like he is holding her hostage. Another scene that reinforces Fujiwara’s gentler side is the bro moments between him and Takeda. They seem like good friends and I can’t believe that he would have used his newfound leverage as an excuse to get into Hotaru’s panties. Yet, Fujiwara is very difficult to read. Maybe he is a scum and maybe he has one’s wish. A trio?
At least, now that Fujiwara is in the mix, Hotaru will need to be extra careful how she reacts close to Yuna. Fujiwara seems like the deductive type and he will keep a close eye to his cheating girlfriend. Not that he minds.
Endcard: The cute endcard is by shoujo ai manga artist merryhachi! Big boobs aside (I do talk a lot about boobs) I liked the hair shadings and the cute faces of Yuma and Hotaru.
THE trip: We all went to THE trip. We all lied to our parents about THE trip. Most of us returned disappointed from THE trip. The memories.
Censorship: We had our first censors in this episode, since Yuma and Hotaru’s boobies would have unveiled their nipples in all their glory if not for the light beams. FREE THE NIPPLES! Well, they are going to be freed eventually for the Blu-Ray release.
Boob Anatomy: Light beams and all, the boobs were as anatomically accurate as they are in the official poster: not accurate at all. They take shapes and move in ways no human boob could ever dream of taking or moving. They look like they have a mind of their own and are made from a gelatinous substance that can take any shape they want. Probably they are detachable as well.
I have a feeling that the anime is going to take a much darker turn that we think. It may sound strange to some but this kind of scenario is not that uncommon in real life. People cheat all the time, and in some cases, the people involved make for some very inappropriate situations. Fujiwara and Hotaru’s toxic relationship threatens the only hope for a normal relationship Yuma has.
The real victim in all of this is poor Takeda. This sweet boy is so innocent. Yes, he still has sex on his mind, but in such a pure way that I guess it includes awkward boob groping and plenty of French kissing. I wonder if they are going to hit it on with Yuma next episode. I highly doubt it, though. In my ideal scenario, Takeda is the one who will pull Yuma out of the toxic relationship she has with her friend, right after Yuma pulls Hotaru out of the toxic relationship she has with Fujiwara. I really hope I see that kind of development in the anime because in real life, people rarely get out of toxic relationships.
