Continuing from where the previous episode left off, we find ourselves in the middle of a gamble that makes increasingly no sense, as well as an extensive number of wild speculations.
Let me just say, before I begin, that I find it hard to understand the strategy behind a few gambles on this season. And yes I’ve mentioned that the previous one was better already, so let’s not go down that road right now and instead focus on what we have here. It does feel like all these gambles include a vast amount crazy speculation in order to be won. Is the speculation a part of the gamble itself? Who the hell knows.
So what happened in this episode is basically that Manyuda falsely accused Yumeko for being a ‘traitor’, then Yumeko started getting off at the idea of losing and was grinding on Manyuda, probably giving him an enormous hard-on and convincing him that somehow he needs to participate in this gamble! Why else would he be getting a hard-on otherwise? It makes perfect sense. Either way, they both declare that they will be paying zero tax, and everyone seems to agree. That guy with the red hair and unshaved legs seems pretty excited, but then again, I do feel he has too little a brain to feel anything else.
According to Manyuda’s acclaimed prediction, everyone pays the full amount in tax. Manyuda uses his mad skillz to somehow guess and calculate that Sumeragi is the traitor and Miroslava is basically following Sumeragi’s instruction, being bribed by Sumeragi’s coins.
Miroslava gets voted out, everyone else wins, Sumeragi comes up first and earns 100 votes. However, based on a bet she has made with Terano on whether Manyuda would win or not, she loses all of her votes to Terano.
SumeragixManyuda: Before Miroslava tried to kill Sumeragi by squeezing her tits against the wall, then quietly realizing that, hey, actually, this girl probably has the hots for that guy with the spectacles, that’s why she fucked up the game completely, I was pretty certain that Sumeragi’s behavior is a shining indication of the fact that she fancies Manyuda. Why the fuck would she get rid of his slave contract, take his insults and help him in the game, therefore losing 150 votes? Still, girl, your need to get your shit together. An electroshock would have worked as well.
The Deduction: I mean… Either I’m too stupid to understand this speculative genius of his or Manyuda literally pulled that explanation out of his ass. The extent to which he figured out Sumeragi’s plan with very little knowledge of it and without being able to understand her motivation… yeah, it just makes no sense to me.
Quick question: Being the superior gambler, why would Yumeko not pull Sumeragi’s trick and ruin the game for everyone? I suppose one explanation to this might be that this is not what she’s after, but then again, I haven’t seen her lose much. As for the awkward grinding against Manyuda at the thought of losing, let’s just say that she really needs to sort out her priorities.
Didn’t make much sense, but I do like myself some romance. Let’s hope it goes somewhere.
