Magmel is getting hard to watch but at least there was a glimpse of humor that made things easier. Now, even the humor is gone and the series turned out to be quite dull and boring. But, let me be more specific and take a look to this episode’s events!
In this episode of Magmel, the story continued from where it was left off: Zero is still imprisoned by the crazy old guy and Inyou is on his way to free her. On the bright side, it seems that we finally got an actual arc. On the dark side though, the plot unfolded way too slowly and it was extremely boring. Nothing special happened and I struggle to remember what occurred in the first half of this episode. Plus, we didn’t get the chance to see if the supporting characters survived the explosion attacks. Up to this point, I care more about them, since I know their backstories better than the main heroes’.
The only thing I found kinda interesting in this episode was that Inyou, who used to be a total badass in the series and was kicking dinosaurs’ asses quite easily, suddenly became useless and weak. I don’t know if the production trolls us, but a guy who can take down a building-sized monster, surely can take down a bunch of kids and an old weirdo. Well, my last hopes for Magmel have left the building…
Human-Bombs: I have to admit that I felt sorry for the poor, tortured kids. I had hopes that Inyou would free them too, giving them the life they deserved. But no… Their deaths were quite sad and brutal, considering the fact that they couldn’t react.
Zero’s zero iq: Zero might be quite stronger than we think. There must be a good reason she’s the weirdos’ fav pet. But, damn, she is stupid. She heard screams and explosions and -as an angler- she could have easily created stairs to check out what’s happening. If she did that, maybe things would have taken a different turn.
The next episode might be the last one -at least for this season- and we still don’t know almost anything about our main characters. Plus, we never truly saw Magmel. When the series began, I was ready for explorations, crazy adventures, and drama, but instead I got a trashy, plot-less show. It’s a shame, because even if I haven’t read the manga, I see the comments of many disappointed manga fans who claim that Magmel has a plot!
Back to the subject, I disliked this episode, with its worst part being the cheap flashbacks. If they were supposed to make me get attached to the main characters, they totally failed.
‘Inyou will save me…’
Sadly, this anime moved towards the wrong direction and everything took the double time than it should. It felt more like a filler episode instead of a mind-blowing one. What is your opinion on Magmel’s events?
