Fairy Gone is building up to something in these past three episodes, but in Episode 7 we’re left still waiting… Nobody has still figured out the ‘obvious’ cause of the artificial fairies malfunction and the end of war anniversary is fast approaching. This week’s episode was slow and just threw us more information.
Japanese Original Title: 頑固な鍛冶屋と偏ったウサギ
No-one is able to figure out there is meddling interference from the shadows on the new artificial fairies going haywire. We learn important news about Gilbert Warlock, a powerful man with influence within the government who owns a black fairy tome. Mafia member Sweetie and Dorothea work together to try to retrieve the item.
The Obvious: It’s ridiculous at this point that Dorothea, the ministry of fairies, and the fairy technicians can’t figure out the obvious meddling of enemies. The wasted time spent last episode and this week on them trying to figure out the problem is a complete bore fest. I’ll admit that it was interesting to learn more about the inner workings of these artificial creations, but other than that, it’s already getting old.
Watching And Moving: Marlya and Free stated how I felt about this episode entirely. What they did in this episode was nothing more than watching and waiting…
Sweetie Child: Fairy Gone’s use of flashback is not working out very well at the end of the episode. A random clip of Sweetie as a child in the desert and… what is that meant to mean? This what happens when it comes to Fairy Gone’s storytelling: it feels random and viewers are left alone to make sense of it.
Eddie Loyd: On a positive note, an interesting point the episode managed to give us was the creator of artificial fairies, Eddie Loyd. May have something to do with what’s going on right now, all for revenge?
Gilbert Warlock: Gilbert is a part of the Mafia Gui Karin and has influences over the prime minister Zessika. Gilbert hired an agent who was previously was caught by Dorothea and was in search of the black fairy tomes. How many Gilbert possesses has not been revealed yet.
Neutral: The dorothea group may do work for ministry of fairies, Mafia, and other organisations but like to remain neutral in the standing objective of stopping illegal fairy activities.
Not a very exciting episode again from Fairy Gone but this development regarding Gilbert Warlock being in possession of a black fairy tome is intriguing. Just how many of these black fairy books are there would be a nice thing to know at this point. More than that to SEE the thing would be even better. It’s been mentioned many times throughout the episodes but what significance is it going to bring to the plot? I get the ‘dark arts’ vibe with this black fairy book but right now I don’t care about this plot point, not until the series can abbreviate more on this.
The past three episodes it’s been watching and waiting. In the next episode I feel the course of things is going to change and it will have all to do with this end of war anniversary event. So I am curious for the next episode but I’m not expecting a lot right now. The plot is still all over the place.
Was this week’s episode better than last? A little bit but not by much. Next episode seems to be covering the end of war anniversary it’s been leading up to. I have some small hope here the pace might pick up but let’s not hold our breaths.
Tell us in the comments your thoughts on Episode 7!
