It’s that episode before the final showdown, then this show is over. God bless.
Right, so everyone is mourning the death of their beloved robot (not to my surprise, not half as much as they should, ESPECIALLY boxer, she looks like her hamster died instead of her partner). Kiril still blames himself even though his existence and/or actions are completely unrelated to Robot’s death, Doug sucks at everything except shooting people as usual so he cannot really console him, Pink is emotionally immature, I’m assuming Kay is hungry… The boss is useless, whatever, everyone is being themselves and basically tension is being built for the final show. Kirill decides to transfer to the military so that no more people die because of him and that’s when his sister shows up all moppy and quickly decides to tell her whole life story to the seven-0. You know, the one that she’s been hiding from her own brother for YEARS?
Kirill transfers to the military, gets some tough love induction by Cooper who basically tells him that he is a successful offspring of some experimental people and that he is resistant to Anthem (oh god why) and that he is precious to him. In the meantime, seven-0 organizes a whole charade to get Kirill out of there. They convince Derick to drive his pub-bus into the military base so they can pretend they are attacking him to protect Kirill. Doug fetches Kirill but Cooper figures it all out thanks to the scratched serial number on the illegal gun Doug is carrying – of course – so he hunts them down with Kirill’s sister as hostage. Long story short – Doug gets shot.
Exactly as expected: I just knew that the mourning over the loss of a loved one in this show would be very, very basic. To be honest, I’ve seen very few shows that tackle grief efficiently (specifically, it’s AOT and FMA) and I personally think shows with a tone problem as big as this one should just stay away from death altogether.
That loophole of a plot: So Esperanza was a criminal organization setup by aliens that are actually genetically modified humans looking to experiment on their weird drugs that cannot work on their kids properly and Kirill so happened to be the prodigy child that was born to two genetically modified humans but whose body stabilized Anthem which is why he was valuable but his parents didn’t want his to become a test subject even though he must have had some tests otherwise how on earth did they know he could neutralize anthem so they sent him to earth with his sister who is actually his brother but was dressed as a girl and never told him anything about all this but easily spilled the beans for everyone at seven-0 then got herself caught by the very man who is running the military and made her brother leave seven-0 to protect his friends and who was also the head of Esperanza even though in the beginning with thought he was the boss then thought it wasn’t then found out it actually was because. WHY THE FUCK NOT.
I am so tired of watching this and I want it to end. I honestly can think of very few things that have been so badly written. Also; what the hell is the deal with the random transitions to CGI scenes?? Is their budget that low?
