Remember when I said this series was stirring into disaster? I think it hit that zone this week. The direction of the plot was all over the place with secret kisses and fast-resolved conflictions. This week’s episode was worse than the previous. Let’s look at this disaster.
Japanese Original Title: 付き合うって、こういうことだよ？
Natsuo and Hina go out on a ‘date’ or what it means to go on a date, and the pair’s tension so far resolved too quickly. Natsuo becomes more confused about his feelings and he is feeling unsettled. Rui just adds to the confusion with her odd request and summer break is on the horizon.
Indulge: Was it the brightest idea taking out your sibling on a date, while they are in love with you? NO. Just watching Hina and Natsuo makes you scream eternal rage because it’s plain cruel. Natsuo, yes, is a moron for going along with such an idea but Hina is the biggest moron here. How can one preach or speak about being an adult and being sensible that they themselves know how immature and selfish they are in this situation. Hina is a hypocrite. She is indulging people’s requests. I don’t see this as a bad thing; however, it depends on the situation and what we had here was not appropriate. Letting Hina indulge Natsuo in his wish for a lasting hug has added fuel to the fire.
Hina’s Actions: Cheating is a big no no to me but diving into Hina’s background, the reason she involved herself in this affair was an eye opener. Cheating is complex when it comes to people’s situations, and sometimes behind the assumptions there is a valid reason for why people are doing it. You can call someone like Hina pathetic for going along with the affair but I think it’s important to remember she had her own reasons. Rui and Natsuo may protest but it’s difficult to give such advice when it comes to cheating. It’s complicated.
Secret Kissing: I’ve said that if anything, Rui and Natsuo would be my preference to get together but that scene just was so random. Rui requests to kiss Natsuo in secret and he agrees to it. It was just ‘What The’ moment. Ahh, the complexity hurts my brain.
Caught In The Act: As if this episode wasn’t messed up enough, Hina was caught in the act and Natsuo saw. I’m not abbreviating on it anymore because that was just awkward.
What the… That sums up my reaction to this episode. How could the series go that south just in the first few minutes of the episode by resolving Natsuo and Hina’s tension, by Natsuo confessing, and by Hina indulging in his wishes and then going back to being siblings for good – no more nonsense. This was a ridiculous move because that can’t be it. If anything, it proved Hina’s true immaturity and that all her preaching words towards Natsuo to make her sound an adult were a load of rubbish. I cannot stand at this point seeing Hina trying to be the adult when the woman can’t keep herself together.
The series shook things up more with Rui wanting to experiment kissing with Natsuo, and like the moron he is, he agrees. I’ll get a piece of both sisters, perfect score if you had two hot sisters. Oh but then the real kicker comes in with Natsuo witnessing Hina… I will not say any more. It was just so awkward to throw that into the middle of the episode. Rest of the episode was flat-out boring. Everyone was focusing on exams and summer vacation was coming. That was this week’s episode, a total flop woho!! Bring on next round !
