This week’s episode was just awkward. We’re introduced to a new girl, Momo, who is a pretentious flirt underneath her supposed innocence. One look at Rui’s new brother and: ‘Oh I want to date him’. There was everything that annoyed me about this episode, everything is sliding into hot mess territory now.
Japanese Original Title: 好きになってもい?
Rui befriends fellow classmate Momo who is rumored to be quite the get around guys. Doesn’t take long φορ Momo to fall for Natsuo, which stirs slight jealousy within Rui. Natsuo still wishes to forget his feelings for Hina and resorts to lengthy means to do that.
Oh Innocent Momo: Her character you can see from a mile away. She invades so quickly. The blessing here is that she doesn’t have a bitchy personality. She acknowledges her behavior but Momo is just weak and lets guys walk all over her. Momo’s character… Well, I’m torn over a little with. I don’t hate her but I am not overly fond of her or for any girl who easily falls for every guy she sees.
No Biggie: Can anything be more awkward than shoving a suppository up your sister’s ‘blank’ whom you previously slept with – before they became your sister. Rui’s disregard for any of this not being a big deal is baffling to me, especially letting Natsuo see her naked. It sends all the wrong signals but if I would prefer Natsuo to end up with Rui and not Hina. I’ve decided now from watching how these two interact with each other.
Any Girl Will Do: Natsuo, you didn’t put yourself in a good spotlight by sleeping with Momo. This is where you should start hating the guy in a series, but I don’t hate Natsuo. Haha, sounds funny I don’t think he’s still an idiot. Natsuo is still confused about his own feelings right now and he is in a phase where he is close to making a stupid mistake. Luckily he rectified this quickly and thought it was sweet since he offered to keep Momo company whenever she ate alone.
Support My Love: If any girl was going to ask me if it is okay to fall for the person you have a crush, I wouldn’t be a reserved Rui, I’d be in their face and say MINE GIRL MINE Hands Off!!!. I hate that type of girls, don’t you?
This episode was by far awkward and slightly boring. I won’t be surprised if people dropped this series if they made it this far. Just this episode alone was enough to say ‘We’re getting to the complex stuff now’. Course I’m here for the long run. Momo’s character brought nothing for me this episode except for bringing out Rui’s inner feelings she may have for Natsuo. Nothing is still clear as Rui keeps herself clammed up around him.
The suppository scene… ahh I had one eye open. It was beyond awkward to the point I was laughing. Of course, Domestic Girlfriend is ready to throw out the awkward now and it may just get worse from now. Noone is going to blame those who decide to stop this series just from this week’s episode, but I am staying. I must know how this triangle complex concludes.
From now on, I’m prepared for this to turn complex and ugly because that is where the plot is heading. It won’t be good, probably, but just hysterical. What awaits us in the next episode of this anime soap opera?
