With Asta and Yuno getting a chance to meet again, Luck flying off to look for enemies, and a treasure waiting to be obtained, I was just so excited to watch the latest episode of Black Clover! True enough, I wasn’t disappointed at all! More and more interesting and suspenseful things kept popping up that I just couldn’t get enough of it!
Japanese Original Episode Title: ダイヤモンドの魔導戦士
Asta and Yuno stepped on the same stage once more, and I couldn’t be happier! It’s been, what, nine episodes since we last saw them together? What a treat! However, even though I wish they could just ditch everything and catch up, they are still rivals first and foremost, so of course they’d focus on the task at hand! Plus, there was the danger of the Diamond Kingdom’s mages getting the treasure before they did! Luck already found one of them in fact, and he got what he wanted: a really strong enemy to fight!
Black Bulls and Golden Dawn: Ah, as expected, a simple fellow like Asta and a snooty noble like Klaus were bound to not get along from the start! What I didn’t expect were Mimosa and Noelle, who I thought would get along since they’re both royal girls. But apparently, even though they’re cousins, Noe can’t stand her! Welp. Looks like the differences between the first and last tier squads are as clear as day and night! Even just from the capabilities of those three, you could already see why the Golden Dawn is at the top, as unfortunate as it is for the squad we’re rooting for. While I am starting to get attached to Klaus’ team, Yuno’s still the best of them! I loved it when he defended his bro Asta from his leader’s degrading comments! (Also the fact that he was mostly chill while the others were berating each other!)
Nero the guide: If Yuno and Klaus had Mimosa to guide them with a really incredible 3D map of the dungeon (which is quite an unexpected and terribly convenient ability), well, Asta and Noelle have Nero! Wonder what’s up with him and/or the treasure room that he’s able to know where it is and how to get there. Then again, most of the places the two ended up in have been full of obstacles. Surely he’s not messing with them, right? Or maybe he’s actually pointing to where Luck is at…
Treasure Chest: That huge ‘What the heck!’ deserves its own spot in the highlights! Not only was I amused with it ever since I saw last week’s preview, but the fact that it really was an organic creature shocked me so much! I guess its internal organs are the treasure? As much fun as it was, just imagining seeing that in real life…I’d definitely puke like Asta and Noelle did. Eugh.
Luck vs. Lotus: I was so amused when they showed Luck mopping the floor with his enemies! He’s really starting to grow on me, especially when he went head to head with Lotus! I really thought he’d mop the floor with him too, but of course, an infamous guy like him couldn’t have earned his reputation if his mind wasn’t on par with his might, right? Guess Luck was really just focused on fighting that he didn’t think of possible tricks his enemy had up their sleeve. That, and he was a one-man team. Just when he was about to give in to the magic though, his terrifying sense of bloodthirst overpowered it! What was with that voice telling him to win? Could it be the reason he’s so motivated to pick fights with every person he sees? Interesting, interesting!
