Itsuki & Nayu: For some reason I really enjoyed their dialogue while they were eating. It was so cute to see Itsuki trying to avoid all her perviness with things that sounded kind of the same with what she was saying.
The egg scene: I was so disgusted and speechless on that scene that I literally went like ‘Ugh!’ out loud. Unnecessarily perverted in my humble opinion, but that’s Nayu’s character so I ain’t here to judge.
Censorship during typhoon: I loved how even when there a fucking typhoon happening one of the girls censored her boobs with her hands but the other one had her hair still in place. Anime physics will always be hilarious.
Themes & Trivia
Fun Fact: I had no clue but the official website of the show is actually listing all the referenced products like alcohol and board games along with all the ‘sister’ references. There are even reviews about the beers, like for example Orion which was the one that Itsuki and Miyako were drinking in Okinawa and the root beer that Nayu fell in love with.
Kotatsu: A kotatsu was mentioned at the beginning of the episode when Itsuki couldn’t get the heating to work. Kotatsu is a low, wooden table frame covered by a futon, or heavy blanket, upon which a table top sits. Underneath is a heat source, formerly a charcoal brazier but now electric, often built into the table itself and is used almost exclusively in Japan. The modern style kotatsu is known as the oki-gotatsu. The word oki-gotatsu (置き炬燵) is derived from the kanji 置き (oki) meaning placement, 炬 meaning torch or fire, and 燵 meaning foot warmer.
The egg scene still haunts me. I didn’t enjoy the transition of cute pure Itsuki trying to get away of the weird things that Nayu was throwing at him to the full erotic and hentai like scene of Nayu licking the egg and saying to him, ‘Look at you just sticking your balls into a girl’s face like that.’ I did not approve.
The show is a bit biased with Nayu as a female character so far. I mean poor Miyako has been going around with the same god damn outfit since Episode 1. From Tokyo to Okinawa, she is still wearing the same skirt, shirt and belt. Come on guys don’t be lazy, show us her wardrobe.
I don’t know what to think about Chihiro anymore. I am just wondering that if he is actually Itsuki’s sister, how the hell did Itsuki not notice? Probably will have something to do with the fact that he doesn’t like to go see his family and that he doesn’t go along with them? Maybe he didn’t grow up with him? Is that the plot twist?
