A young outstanding man by the name of ‘Dale’ is well known for being a remarkable adventurer. For one mission he explores the depths of a forest, where he finds a little girl called Latina, from a family of magicians. Even though she has horns and is marked with the sign of a criminal, he can’t just leave her alone and decides to become her guardian.
‘Latina is just too cute, I don’t want to go to work!’ Before he even realizes it, he has already turned into an obsessed parent!
Latina is cute. Dale is ok. The story is meh. I have nothing against overly cutsie stories, don’t get me wrong. We all need some winding off from time to time and this kind of anime is exactly what someone might want and probably need after a long day at work: something silly to get his mind off his problems. Dale, the protagonist, is an 18-year-old adventurer (this is not an isekai. It just takes place in a fantasy world) who finds a young orphan demon in the forest. After a whole episode of cutsie stuff, he decides to adopt her. The episode did lay the basis for more plot: Who is Latina? Why is her father dead? but I don’t really think I am going to endure all the ‘LATINA OMG SO CUTE’ scenes just to learn her backstory. Anime like Uchi Musume are the anime equivalent of cat videos and reality TV. And that’s ok if that’s your thing.
