Japanese Title: Domestic na Kanojo
The high school student Natsuo Fujii secretly has feelings for his teacher Hina Tachibana. He forces himself to participate in a group date where meets a girl named Rui Tachibana and loses his virginity to her. At the same time, his father re-marries and the children his new wife brings into the house are Rui and Hina… The three of them end up living under one roof and with that their pure yet forbidden triangle relationship starts.
Life is complicated. Love is even more than that. Now combine the whimsical playfulness of love with the unexpected twists of life and you can get an infinite combination of awkward situations. Natsuo-kun is a high-schooler who finds himself in a troublesome position after his father remarries. His new wife’s daughters are one of his teacher at school with whom he is in love and a girl of the same age with whom he slept a few days before. Now they’ll have to stay all together at the same house. Chaos will ensue.
After Kuzu no Honkai, I’ve come to appreaciate well written romance dramas that take themselves seriously and try to depict real life situations. It’s yet early to say if Domestic Girlfriend is one of them, but I’ve heard of worse situations than the ones we saw in the first episode. I’m coming back for Episode 2 because, honestly, love dramas are everyone’s guilty pleasure.
