The main cast, Daisuke Ono and Keiko Suzuki, and director Naokatsu Tsuda appeared on the stage of the “planetarian” event. It was the most stylish performance this summer!
On July 1st, the greetings from the stage of “planetarian – Dream of Little Star – “ was held at “Tenku” planetarium in Tokyo Skytree which is the new symbol of Tokyo. There appeared three members of the cast including Keiko Suzuki of Yumemi Hoshino and Daisuke Ono of Kuzuya, director Naokatsu Tsuda.
The “planetarium” is considered to be a very important place/event in the story as well. The staff’s sense in selecting the planetarium inside the Skytree, a tower that is very close to stars, as an event venue is just fantastic. The event starts at 21:00 when you can see stars. Their wish that is to provide the ultimate experience to the visitors while maintaining the world-view of the story could be felt strongly.
*Skytree is located fairly close to Asakusa. In Asakusa, such actions with good sense are described as “stylish”.
At the introduction right after the kick off of the event, Keiko Suzuki got suddenly energetic and said “it’s curry rice!” and Daisuke Ono followed with his line “It’s a ramen set!” making fans excited altogether. We could tell how well these two get along.
Both members of the main cast worked on the original game which was released 12 years ago. Daisuke Ono expressed the fact that he is able to participate in the anime series after 12 years as his “reward”. It probably was the suitable comments that represented the feeling of all original game fans that were present at that time.
Director Tsuda stated that this series has a “power (that can’t be seen)”. Somehow, someone is always trying to make it into anime. Then members that had a deep relationship with the key product were gathered in one place, leading the series from 12 years ago to be made into anime. Combined with the atmosphere of the planetarium, the overall space was enveloped with the mysterious air.
It was interesting to see how Keiko Suzuki explained in a technical way, the difference between Yumemi Hoshino in the game and the anime as a way to enjoy the series. According to her, the heights of Yumemi Hoshino is taller in the anime by about 10cm. In the game, Yumemi talks to Kuzuya looking upward but in the anime she talks to him straightly. Its way of acting changes as the robot technology progresses. For original game fans, enjoy the difference to the game.
Ono commented that “the expression of the rain is truly beautiful”. There are many raining scenes in this series so the rain hugely affects the atmosphere of the series. Pay attention to how the anime world is created piece by piece with all the staffs’ efforts.

The equipment that projects the planetarium. It was interesting to compare it with the one that appears in the anime.
By the way, did you know that the planetarium of this work is based on a real planetarium? It’s based on the Akashi Astronomical Science Museum (明石天文科学館) in Kobe, Japan.
At the end of the show, each member provided a message.
Suzuki : “I would like all of you to continuously enjoy the world of planetarian.”
Ono : “The key we love exists in it.”
Tsuda : “I would like you to watch this series feeling the contrasts and relations.”
After that, the episodes 1 to 3 were projected in the planetarium.
