Kemono Friends is currently being broadcast at TV Tokyo and AT-X, a channel specializing in anime. Its opening theme Youkoso Japari Park e was released earlier this month, and now we have a new music video that uses scenes from the anime!
The song was composed and written by Masayoshi Ooishi, who has also created the themes for popular anime such as Daiya no A and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. He is currently part of the unit OxT along with Tom-H@ck. Ooishi wanted to make a theme song that will make everyone want to visit Japari Park.
Two groups have been selected from the main cast members to sing the song. Dobutsu Biscuit (Yuka Ozaki, Kana Motomiya and Saki Ono) and PPP (Mirai Sasaki and Ikuko Chikuta)!
The new music video put importance on the song’s tempo. It expresses the worldview of Kemono Friends and raises our expectation for the rest of the anime.
The first CD release event will be held at Diver City Tokyo Plaza on February 25. The second release event will be held at BiriBiri AKIBA in Akihabara, Tokyo on March 12. Both events will feature the main cast. They will hold stage talks, and live concerts and recordings. Sadly, only the talk section will be free. The mini live performance will require an event participation ticket, which you can find in the new single of Youkoso Japari Park e when bought from designated stores like AKIHABARA Gamers Main Branch and Animate Akihabara.
