In addition, a teaser video is released, showing the leading actors Suzu Hirose and Kento Yamazaki arousing interest and other young talented actors. You can get an early peek at the vibrant actors unfolding a coming-of-age love story.
Suzu Hirose, who is gaining great popularity in dramas, movies and commercials, is cast as the heroine Kaori Miyazono in “Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (Your Lie in April)”. The actress moved into the limelight with “Umimachi Diary (Seaside Town Diary)”, and will appear in movies attracting attention, such as “Chihayafuru” and “Ikari (Anger)”, in 2016. She plays the role of Karori who is a free-spirited violinist having a strong personality.
Kento Yamazaki takes the part of Kōsei Arima: He was a genius pianist, and is becoming attracted to Kaori. Yamazaki is also a popular actor who has appeared consecutively in much-talked works such as the serialized TV drama titled NHK Renzoku Terebi Shōsetsu (NHK serial TV novel) “Mare” and the movies “Heroine Shikkaku (No Longer Heroine)” and “Orange – Orenji”. Both actors who won the Japan Academy Prize for Newcomer of the Year in the 39th Japan Academy Prize play the roles of the couple who are being connected through music.
Gorgeous actors are also cast as the characters surrounding the couple to form a fresh quartet. Anna Ishii in E-girls acts as Tsubaki Sawabe, or one of Kōsei’s childhood friends who is in love with him. Ishii played the lead in the movie “Girls Step” to be released soon. Taishi Nakagawa who is heading the cast in “Minami-kun no Koibito (Minami’s sweetheart)” plays the role of Ryōta Watari loved by Kaori. We are looking forward to the painful love stories interwoven by the four characters.
The teaser video starts with an impressive line “I will appoint a friend of mine ‘A’ as my accompanist.” It shows Kaori playing the violin splendidly, Kōsei anguishing in front of a piano, and the four youths enjoying their daily lives. The just 30 second video should heighten the expectations of fans.
