Khara is a video planning & production company owned by Hideaki Anno who is the creator of the Evangelion series. Evangelion celebrated its 10th anniversary in May, 2016. Commemorating the occasion, Khara decided to hold, for the first time, a special exhibition.
It will be held at Lafore Museum Harajuku for eight days, November 23-30.
This 10th anniversary exhibition will display original pictures and setting materials of Evangelion the New Movie as well as materials from the Nihon Animator Mihonichi series. The work of Khara is not limited to animation; they also handle planning & production, distribution & advertising, preservation of materials related to animation, special effects, and publication of books for live-action works among other things.
The exhibition will also feature the company’s history and plans for the future. More information and details will soon be available in Khara’s official website.
CEO Hideaki Anno expressed his gratitude in Khara’s 10th anniversary commemorating party on May 17th by saying:
“Thanks to you and all the fans supporting us, we were able to keep growing for past 10 years. 10 years seems a long time but for me it passed quickly. For details of the company’s history, please learn it at the exhibition planned to be held this coming autumn The history of Khara is only 10 years yet. I believe we still have a long way to go.
