We have a new teaser trailer and screenshots from the live action adaptation of The Anthem of the Heart (Kokoro ga Sabitagatterunda). It will be released in Japan on 22 July 2017. Both the trailer and screenshots feature the heroine, Jun Naruse, and all the four characters of the main cast.
The trailer shows Jun Naruse, who is unable to speak well, showing Takumi Sakagami a notebook. She explains via text messages that when she was younger, she inadvertently split up her family with her words and now she is under a curse that causes her stomach to hurt whenever she tries to speak. We can also see scene where Takumi plays the piano; Takumi, Jun, Natsuki Nito, and Daiki Tasaki, who have been designated as members of the ‘community interaction exchange assembly’, talk together; and where Natsuki and Jun rehearse for the musical with their classmates. We see each character after Takumi’s important words, ‘If there is something you want to say, maybe you could try singing. I think music has mysterious powers.’
In the screenshots, we see Kyoko Yoshine who portrays Jun, Anna Ishii who portrays Natsuki, and Kanichirou who portrays Daiki. Jun stands alone on the rooftop, Natsuki is in the music room for the meeting for the ‘community interaction exchange assembly’, Daiki holding his hurting arm. Their sulking figures are all portrayed. The original anime movie was released in 2015. We wonder how the delicate characters’ feelings will be expressed. The choir scene within the film is also not to be missed.
