Singer-songwriter Sonoko Inoue will provide the theme song for the live action movie ReLIFE, based on the manga by Yayoisou.
Inoue claims to be a big fan of the original manga. She commented: ‘The pure and beautiful romance and friendships make my heart flutter and I fully support the romance between Kaizaki and Hishiro.’ About the song she said, ‘I’d like to express the sensitive development of the character’s emotions and the frustrations of love in a refreshing way in this song, just like the story does.’ The title of the song and the release date have yet to be made public.
The image for the movie poster has also been revealed. It features the six main characters: Taishi Nakagawa as Arata Kaizaki, Yuuna Taira as Chizuru Hishiro, Mahiro Takasugi as Kazuomi Ooga, Elaiza Ikeda as Rena Kariu, Sae Okazaki as An Onoya and Yuudai Chiba as Ryou Yoake.
The original manga of ReLIFE is serialized on the manga/novel delivery service, Comico. The story follows 27-year-old Arata Kaizaki who becomes young and experiences his high school life once more. The movie will be released in theatres on April 15, 2017. The director, Takeshi Furusawa, is known for such works as Clover and Kyou Koi wo Hajimemasu. The movie will have an original ending.
