The 18th volume of the manga Shoukoku no Altair will be released on January 17, 2017. To celebrate the release, author Kotono Katou will be holding an autograph session at Yurindou Comic Oukoku in Yokohama Station west entrance on February 4, 2017.
Tickets will be sold over the phone starting January 9, 2017. Tickets can be obtained by purchasing volume 18 of Shoukoku no Altair Yurindou Comic Oukoku in Yokohama Station west entrance. Should the tickets not sell out that day, any remaining tickets will be sold at Yurindou Comic Oukoku in Yokohama station west entrance after January 10, 2017.
Shoukoku no Altair is a manga serialized in the monthly manga magazine Monthly Shounen Sirius by Kodansha. It takes place in Turkiye Stratocracy, a fictional country governed by generals and surrounded by plains and deserts. This manga’s protagonist is Mahmut, known as the Tughril Mahmut Pasha (Golden Eagle General). Mahmut is the Turkiye’s youngest pasha in the country’s history and he challenges politics to keep the peace between nations.
The anime adaptation of Shoukoku no Altair has already been announced. Mahmut will be played by Ayumu Murase.
