The live-action series Yowamushi Pedal, based on Watanabe Wataru’s original manga, will get a second season. It will be split in two parts, with the first seven episodes airing from 18 August 2017 at 21:00, and and the second part with 6 episodes starting in November. There will be a total of 13 episodes.
Yowamushi Pedal Season 2 will also be aired simultaneously on 18 August 2017 in Indonesia, Myanmar, Singapore, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, and Mongolia through the channel specialized in Japanese videos for foreigners ‘Wakuwaku Japan.’ In July, the special program called Yowamushi Pedal Season 2 Live Action Guide will also be released.
This all has been announced on 14 May 2017 at the Yowamushi Pedal Soukou Kai Event at EX Theater Roppongi, Tokyo. At the event they also revealed their 5 step ’Commitment Plan’, where they promised to release information or special videos on their official Twitter when a certain amount of retweets was reached or the hashtag was used a certain amount of times.
