A brand new teaser visual was released on the official website of the live action movie adaptation of Fullmetal Alchemist (Hagane no Renkinjutsushi)! The movie is based on Hiromu Arakawa’s manga and will be released on 1 December 2017.
On the photo we see the text ‘Hagane no Karada wa, Kyoudai no Kizuna’ (The body of steel is the bond between brothers), talking about Edward and Alphonse. On Al’s left arm we can see a ‘Flamel’ engraving, which you may recognize from the manga. We can also see the same mark on the back of Ed’s coat.
There will also be a fan event on 12 July, the day on which the manga Fullmetal Alchemist began serialization. Along with the movie cast, the voice actors of the anime are also scheduled to appear on stage. Special benefits only for those who attend the event are also planned and will be announced soon.
Fullmetal Alchemist was serialized in Square Enix’s Gangan between 2001-2010. It tells the story of two brothers, Alphonse and Edward Elric, who lost their mother at a young age. The movie comes out in Japanese cinemas on 1 December 2017.
