The Power Rangers are returning to the country of the show they were based on, the Japanese Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger, 16th installment in Toei’s Super Sentai franchise. Saban, Toei, and Lionsgate opened a Japanese website for the upcoming film that will open in Japan on July 15, 2017.
The Japanese poster has a different tagline than the English one and reads: ‘Why did they receive the power?’ It will be interesting to see how the Japanese audience will receive the western adaptation of their very own tokusatsu franchise of transforming heroes.
