Miyu Yoshimoto, the actress who plays Hanabi in the live action drama adaptation of Winter 2017‘s Kuzu no Honkai (Scum’s Wish) is going to make a voice cameo appearance in Episode 6 of the anime!
We will not have any weird voice swaps, since Miyu will not take the place of Chika Anzai (Hibike! Euphonium 2) in voicing Hanabi. ‘This is my first ever role as a voice actor, and I will be playing a classmate in Episode 6,’ she says, but she still admits that it will be weird to play a different character. ‘It is such a strange feeling for me, who has been playing Hanabi, to meet the anime version of Hanabi Yasuraoka.’
Miyu may be still fresh in her career, but the role of Hanabi in the live action version is as demanding as the one found in the anime. She seems very excited that the two versions are airing at the same time, ‘I’m also really happy to be able to experience the animated world of Scum’s Wish, and it definitely doesn’t lose to the live-action version.’
Kuzu no Honkai is part of MANGA.TOKYO’s episodic anime reviews for Winter 2017. If you want to learn more about the series you can either check our review for Episode 1, or our Anime Info page!
Miyu’s comment ended with a wish, ‘I will be really happy if you can all enjoy Scum’s Wish in various ways to the very end!’
