The video uploaded is a one-minute and 30 second video of a song called, Ooishi Masayoshi Kemono Friends OP theme song [Demo Version]. It was uploaded on February 9, and it has ranked first on NicoNico Douga’s total rankings! In addition to his name in kanji (Chinese characters) he has also released the video under his name in katakana (syllabic characters often used for foreign words).
Ooishi debut was with a 3 piece band called Sound Schedule in 2011. He has worked as a solo artist since 2008. He had been using his real name, Masayoshi Ooishi (大石昌良) in kanji, and has released music that he has composed himself.
Later, he started singing anime songs under his name written in katakana (オーイシマサヨシ).
His name started being recognized after Kimi Janakya Dame Mitai (Seems it can’t be anyone but you) which was used as the opening song for Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun. As part of the unit OxT (along with popular for his songs for K-ON, [email protected]) he performed the ending song Blood of Youth for Ace of Diamond.
He also hosts a show called Ooishi Masayoshi’s Hikigatari Lab at Niconico Live where he talks and sings to his acoustic guitar. He has also appeared singing on many karaoke programs on TV Tokyo like THE Karaoke Battle and Premium MelodiX!
The TV anime series Kemono Friends‘s theme song, Welcome to Japari-Park, is performed by Animal Biscuits×PPP, a group composed by 8 cast members of the show. After it’s release, it was found in top rankings in various hit charts including the iTunes Total ranking.
This video uploaded by Ooishi is performed all by him, from the main vocals to the backing chorus, and it’s recorded without any pitch corrections (not changing the pitch for vocals). It has the quality of a complete version, and it’s very different from the original anime song version performed by the cast members.
