The key visual for “Long Riders!”, which starts in Autumn 2016, with the heroine shooting through the wilderness published.
The TV animation for “Long Riders!” has been determined to be broadcasted starting from Autumn 2016. The official website will launch and the key visuals will be available to the public. The anime “Long Riders!” is based on the original bicycle manga drawn by Hiroshi Miyake, serialized in Ichijinsha “Monthly ComicREX”. Weak in all forms of exercise, first year university student, Ami Kurata counters the bicycle, and with childhood friend Ari Aragaki, university senior Hinako Saijou, as well as Yayoi Ichinose, sketch the figures of one challenging cycling.
In the original, places familiar to avid bicycle fans such as the “Shimanami Coast” connecting Onomichi, Hiroshima to Imabari, Ehime, the “Shibutoge Hill Climb” located on the Gunma to Nagano border as well as many other famous locations appear in the story. The highlight of the show is the growth of Ami who started out with a regular folding bike to getting her very own road bike. The unity amongst comrades seen during times like making team jerseys etc., becomes one of the works biggest charms.
In the key visuals, the handling of Ami’s figure speeding on her road bike leaves a big impression on viewers. Beautiful visuals such as rural landscapes, seemingly endless roads and stunning distant mountains will unfold before your eyes. These visuals can also be viewed on the newly launched official website. The big illustrations are definitely worth a look.
Holding the track record for producing “Girls and Panzer”, the one in charge of the anime production is Actus. The director Tatsuya Yoshiwara from “Monster Musume”, character designer Jiboemon Futsuzawa from “Symphogear”, series configurator Natsuko Takahashi from “My Love Story!!” and many other splendid engaging staff are involved. The cast names have been announced being Ami Kurata voiced by Nao Toyama, Hiromi Igarashi, Rumi Okubo, Yurika Kurosawa and Yoko Hikasa.
Themes such as bicycles have been increasing a lot in anime throughout the years that even people becoming interested in sports due to anime have become numerous. I hope even this anime can cause a boom like the rest.
