Comments from Sayuri Matsumura and Manatsu Akimoto!
Sayuri Matsumura (Sayuringo Gundan)
I was really surprised when I heard about this special offer from HoneyWorks.
The song Daikirai na Hazudatta is a heart-catching tune filled with frequently-experienced things about love. The song made me think about how I wished I could have such a sweet school life. I was also delighted to have the chance to voice-act as the movie’s heroine Kako. I hope the movie and our music will give you some stimulus to start love!
Manatsu (Manatsu-san Respect Gundan)
Daikirai na Hazudatta is a really heart-grabbing song. Through this song, we can see a young couple having a bittersweet love game. I’m pretty sure your heart will be thumping as you listen to it until the very end. I’m also voice-acting as a schoolgirl for a bit so, please check it out in the movie theater.
Comment from HoneyWorks
We made it a choir song to express a bittersweet youthful feel. We didn’t really put our focus on creating an ending theme song, but rather we wanted to write a song that initiates the story. We had long wished to team up with artists who we can’t usually team up with, and when we thought about artists best suited for this song, Nogizaka 46 was the first group to cross our mind. Their natural, soothing singing was really attractive and it was exactly how we wanted the song to sound.
