Implementing the VR eye tracking head set ‘FOVE,’ the VR home screen will appear in the 3D virtual space. The virtual character, Asuna, will explain all about the home screen and the various functions. Moreover, she can detect the player’s gaze using the eye tracking function, and there is the possibility, for the first time ever in such a device, for natural communication. For example, Asuna will smile when the player looks into her eyes, and will get angry when the player ignores her.
In addition, various demo games including the rail-shooter Project Falcon can be played on the website FOVE VR Home. Project Falcon received high praise at Tokyo Game Show and has eye tracking and blink detection functions.
