Hello! I am Kitahata, the editor-in-chief at MANGA.TOKYO. I live in Japan and turn press releases from Japanese companies into articles that are easy for those outside of Japan to understand. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!
Masahide Ichijo’s and Ric Sabu’s Takakura-kun ni wa Muzukashii Volume 1 went on sale on 16 May 2017. Ichijo is well known for his works B.B.Joker and 4 Jigen.
The new series is a school comedy about Takeru Takakura, who is way too clumsy. When he tries to come into the classroom, his shirt and pants come loose. Then he wants to sit down at his chair but gets caught between the chair and his table, spitting blood. The other students just can’t take their eyes off of the strange Takakura-kun.
The series will be serialized in Akita Shoten’s Monthly Bonita and on their web magazine Champion Cross. To celebrate the first volume, affiliated bookstores give out presents to those who purchase it. At Shosen Book Tower, Shosen Grande, Horindo Takadanobaba store and Comic Plaza Animate Ikebukuro, copies of the original manuscripts will be exhibited until 15 June 2017.
Furthermore, at the Akita Shoten online store it is possible to buy a Takakura-kun t-shirt saying ‘Perfect Clumsy Boy Takakura-kun.’
