The movie Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Nankyoku Kachi-kochi Daibouken (Movie Doraemon; Nobita’s Great Freezing Adventure at the South Pole), originally written by Fujiko.F.Fujio, will be released in 2017. To celebrate, they made a Virtual Reality (VR) game titled ‘Doraemon VR: Dokodemo-Door (Anywhere-Door).’ The Dokodemo-Door is one of the most famous gadgets in Doraemon.
This game has been created by ‘Project I Can’, a VR content-creating group under BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment. By wearing VR goggles and using a special machine, you can experience the virtual world of Dokodemo-Door. The user will enter a 360-degree virtual space, and get the chance to move around Nobita’s room and the South Pole, which is the setting for the new movie. In addition to this, you can meet Doraemon at the beginning and end of the game.
Tokyo Soramachi will be holding a trial-playing event from February 15 to February 19 2017, prior to its official release. There is a special website for the event, and applications for the trial-playing began on December 20. Those wishing to participate will need to get a password published in any of Shogakukan’s magazines. Applications need to be sent via postcard. For more information, check out the special website.
