The title, poster visuals, and trailer of the movie of “Miracle Transformation! Cure Mofurun!” have been revealed!
On Saturday, October 29th, the latest Pretty Cure movie, “Miracle Transformation! Cure Mofurun!”
will be out in theaters. Along with that, a short movie, “Cure Miracle and Mofurun’s Lesson of Magic!” will be screened with the feature film.
It is also confirmed that Mayu Watanabe from AKB48 team B will sing the theme song for the movie!
The Pretty Cure series have been loved by everyone since it started broadcasting in February, 2004. It’s latest movie, “Miracle Transformation! Cure Mofurun!” along with the short movie, “Cure Miracle and Mofurun’s Lesson of Magic!” will be screened on Saturday, October 29th.
The theme of this movie is friendship and miracles, which happen when the two different worlds work together. Mirai (Cure Miracle, voiced by Rie Takahashi), born in the real world (Nashimahou World), and Riko (Cure Magical voiced by Yui Horie), born in the magic world, cooperate and create a friendship and miracles.
The third Pretty Cure, Cure Felice (Kotoha voiced by Saori Hayami) appeared in the show broadcasted on July third, and increased the excitement for the series.
In the movie, the teddy bear, “Mofurun,” who is necessary for Mirai and Riko’s transformation, transforms into Pretty Cure. “Negai no Ishi,” the legendary stone which makes any wish come true once every 100 years, chose to fulfil Mofurun’s wish.
What does Mofurun, who is popular with children, wish, and why does the Negai no Ishi choose Mofurun? This fall, the touching story about the friendship between Mirai and Mofurun will be out in theaters.
Additionally, the short film screened alongside the featured movie is entirely CG about the magic lessons of Cure Miracle and Mofurun. In the second half of this short film, Cure Miracle and Mofurun dance to the theme song sang by Mayu Watanabe after the magic lessons.
Mayu Watanabe has always loved Pretty Cure the series, and she often sings Pretty Cure songs at karaoke. When she was offered to sing the theme song for this movie, she commented she was too happy to believe it. The theme song is the ending of the short movie and the background music of the featured movie; the song was written by Yasushi Akimoto.
The lyrics contain “Cure Up RaPaPa!” (the spell of transformation and magic in Maho Girls PreCure!) and “Miracle Light” (an item at the theaters children swing and give energies to Pretty Cures when they are in a pinch) and so on. The lyrics represent the universe of the anime, and they harmonize with Mayu’s cute voice.
Kamiki the producer, who chose Mayu Watanabe, says her cute image fits perfectly in the Pretty Cure universe!
If you buy one of the pre-tickets which have been available since July 16th, you will get one original Linkle Stone either “Mofurun Linkle Stone” or “Heartful Linkle Stone”; if you buy family tickets, you will get two. These are only available at the ticket counters at the theaters, 80,000 items in total.
Linkle Stones are key items which shine in various scenes in Maho Girls PreCure! They link with the other items sold in stores currently. Especially, Mofurun Linkle Stone and Heartful Linkle Stone have very important rolls in the movie, so they must be thrilling items for fans.
Comments from Mayu Watanabe who sings the theme song, and the producer of the movie:
I’ve loved the Pretty Cure series when I was growing up, and I watched it on TV every week without missing even one! Even after I became an adult, I still go buy goods at the Pretty Cure store in Tokyo Station. When I got the offer, I was too happy to believe it was real. I love Pretty Cure songs and I sing them at karaoke every time I go! I’m very touched that I got to sing this song…It’s like a dream. I will sing the song with all my heart so the children and everyone will sing along, and make the movie even more lively.
Yuu Kaminoki, the producer
I wanted the children who love the anime and other people to sing and dance along with the theme song, so I chose Mayu Watanabe who is popular girls’ idol and loved by everyone from little kids to adults. The lyrics written by Yasushi Akimoto represent the Pretty Cure universe vividly, and the music fits them wonderfully. I can’t wait the day when everyone dances along with the song in the theaters
