Fune wo Amu will start its broadcast in October, 2016.
The original novel has sold over 1.28 million books, received the Bookstore Award in 2012, and was made into a live-action movie in 2013.
ZEXCS, known for Aku no Hana, will handle the animation of the series. Takahiro Sakurai, Hiroshi Kamiya and Maaya Sakamoto will be part of the main cast.

Araki, a veteran editor of the publishing company Genbu Shobou, is working on a project: a middle-sized Japanese dictionary “Daitokai”, and as his retirement draws closer, he is frantically looking for his successor. In the situation, he heard about Majime from Nishioka and decided to scout him.
