Mr. Masahito Minami from animation studio Bones appeared as an official guest at a talk show held at Anime Boston in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Anime Boston spanned for a three-day period, from Friday 31 March 2017 to Sunday 2 April 2017.
At the venue, they displayed the English version of the poster for the anime movie Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution. The movie is going to be released globally!
At the talk event, Mr. Minami spoke about the history of the animation studio, Bones, the style of their works, and their feelings towards production in general. Here are some details on what happened at this exiting event.

Minami: ‘Hello. Nice to meet you all. I’ve come here from Japan. My name is Minami and I work at the animation studio Bones. I am pleased to be able to meet everyone today. Thank you.’
About the new project ‘Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution’
Minami: ‘It was announced two weeks ago in Japan, but I’m here to officially make the announcement here in America.
We will be producing a three-part anime movie adaptation of the series from twelve years ago. You have seen the promotional video that caused a buzz in Japan, but I will briefly explain the characters who are involved in the newly depicted “First Summer of Love”.’
A new craft which appears in ‘First Summer of Love.’ Designed by Yutaka Izubuchi.
It is the Terminus that Holland Novak piloted in the TV series, but its gold version will appear this time. I can’t go into too much detail but please look forward to it.

Renton’s father. In the TV series, he only appeared in pictures or flashbacks, but this time we plan to have him actively involved in ‘First Summer of Love.’
This is a brand new setting which hasn’t been released before, even in Japan. It is a new setting of the Nirvash depicted in ‘First Summer of Love.’ I can’t show you now, but please look forward to the action scenes in the movie.We have gathered up great friends that will help us to make this movie, including the TV series director, Tomoki Kyouda, Dai Satou (screenplay), and Kenichi Yoshida (character design).

Minami: ‘The work that we announced to everyone here today will be released in Fall 2017. In Japan, we hadn’t actually announced the fall release date, but the first work will be released this fall and after that, it will be one movie per year.
Also, we plan to simultaneously announce developments in North America, the UK, France, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and more. Funimation is in charge of North American releases. Distribution in North America has been confirmed so please sit tight for more news.’
