Augmented Reality Girls Trinary is the new anime-game fusion born as a collaboration between hit-maker Koei Tecmo Games Gust Brand, also known for the Atelier series, and Toei Animation (Dragonball, Pretty Cure, Digimon Adventure, KADO: The Right Answer and more).
On 12 April 2017, Koei Tecmo Games released the app and Bandai animation released the anime version on the same day via an app as well as on the Bandai Channel.
The anime, being labeled as a ‘Double-sided Romance RPG’, will also be available on the official Toei Animation channel (https://goo.gl/dGrSyI ) and other video streaming sites. The first episode was shown through a live screening last September at Shinjuku’s Wald 9 with the cast attending for a stage greeting. The reaction has so far been very good we can, at last, enjoy the release! We can look forward to how this will turn out in the future.
Producer Akira Tsuchiya, who is known for his work on the Ar Tonelico series and Surge Concerto, has written a completely new and original story, which lets us expect a lot from this new world of Trinary.

A strange thing, a ‘Phenomenon’, happens in the capital, Tokyo.
To counter it, a group of girls with special abilities is formed. They are called ‘Augmented Reality Girls Trinary’.
The girls can connect to a computer virus that looks like a fairy called ‘Curan,’ and become strong warriors through it. If the ‘Phenomenon’ invades the heart of a person it makes them run wild and the girls have to fight the ‘infected person’. During the fight, they have to face the hearts of the people and eventually of themselves.

I am in charge of development and editing at MANGA.TOKYO.
Taking advantage of my school days, where I spent a lot of my free time with music and anime, I look for new content and want to expose the fun side of Japan’s Otaku culture.
My favorite anime is Gurren Lagann!
