The episode begins with the possessed Philuffy choking Lux. Struggling to breathe, he calls out her name, and on hearing this she loses consciousness.
Suddenly, the white haired young Hayes appears, and explains that he has planted Ragnarok’s seed in Philuffy.
Any being with the Ragnarok seed implanted in it will eventually deteriorate and turn into an Abyss, in addition to being unable to resist Ragnarok’s commands.
Haynes, using Ragnarok, has ordered Philuffy to kill Lux.
Philuffy, however, has been rejecting that order, causing her headaches and fevers.
Lux learns that if Philuffy continues to ignore the order, she will lose her life in only a few days.
Hayes proposes a deal. In exchange for sparing Philuffy’s life, Lux must use Krulcifer, who is a “key,” to open the door to the deepest part of the ruins.
The next day, Fugil contacts Lux as he is adjusting Bahamut’s Over Limit.
Fugil explains that the only way to save Philuffy is to destroy Hayes’s horn, and to defeat Ragnarok.
Once again the team heads into the ruins, and Krulcifer opens the door to the deepest area.
La Krushe, with her memories returned, battles Philuffy, who is still being puppeteered by Hayes.
Philuffy regains her senses thanks to Airi’s horn, but Hayes appears to have predicted this would happen and calls Ragnarok.
Lux uses Bahamut’s Over Limit, which releases all of Bahamut’s abilities, to defeat the Ragnarok which has gotten stronger as a result of its injuries from previous battles.
This episode was overflowing with Philuffy’s heroism, wasn’t it?
Her powerful feelings for Lux were clearly expressed.
(Lisha, I’m cheering for you!)
Also, the Bahamut Over Limit was too cool!
Say what you will, you can’t call it weak!
Personally, I’d like to see Lisha take on a bigger role.
But looking at the preview for the next episode, it looks like a new character might appear.
Lisha, do your best!
So, that’s about it for episode nine. What did you think?
