Hi there this is YUKI! Do you have any stuff that you always no matter what carry with you? In Japan, “omamori” – the thing that you can purchase from a shrine is typically the thing people carry in a purse or such. I’m more like a trendy type, so, what I normally carry around is my iPhone. Hehe.
This episode is a story of Kurumi-chan who’s always with her stuffed bear, Albrecht. In the previous episode, Mai-senpai made a request to her, and it seems like that adds some kind of pressure on Kurumi-chan. It triggers Kurumi-chan, Haruhiko, and Ruru, to stray into the world of the stuffed animals all together. Let’s see how they manage to come back to the real world.
Synopsis of the sixth episode: Kurumi and the Teddy Bear Kingdom
Kurumi Kumamakura is a fourth grader and has a special ability. Her hairstyle is front twin tails. Things she loves – teddy bears.
On a rainy day, this timid girl, who is obsessed with teddy bears, gets trapped in a fantasy world of stuffed animals. Along with her, Haruhiko and Ruru get sucked into the wonderland. Three of them are attacked by a mob of teddy bears.
When the mob advanced on Kurumi, someone rushes to rescue her.
The voice actor who plays Kurumi-chan is the 23-year old Misaki Kuno. Don’t you think her voice is unbelievably cute? In the beginning of the episode, there is a scene where Kurumi-chan says to herself, “I don’t want to go to school today…” Aww. I love that scene particularly because of her voice.
Speaking of voices, have you noticed something about the voice of Albrecht? Isn’t it, like, sexy? I’m blown away! LOL
Ruru commented on that too, “whoa smooth voice” in Kansai dialect.
So, Albrecht too winded up in the Teddy Bear wonderland. I’m going to give you a summary of what happened in the story.
In the world of Teddy Bears, a clan called Kuma-McLaren family has ruled the world for generations. One day, out of the blue, another family called Higuman invaded one of the Kuma-McLaren’s forests. The King and the Queen were killed during the attack. Survivors of the royal servants got together to protect Princess Kurumi from harm. Higman’s prince Salmon abruptly requests princess Kurumi to be his wife.
Magical Girl vs Teddy Bear Robot
Ruru’s Teddy Bear cosplay… isn’t that cute? Magical girl Kurumi-chan changes her costume too, and fights the bad bears with the bear hand in her hand. Bears, bears, bears, oh my!
When an overwhelming task stands in front of you, how do you handle it, or do you run away from it? No matter how old one becomes, that stuff pops up in life. Especially, when one is grown up, excuses and other priorities become decision factors, right? What impressed me is that Kurumi-chan chose to stand firm and stick up for herself, at that young age. Awesome.
The last scene, four girls look stunning, with Kurumi-chan apparently grown up a little.
Every time, though, Haruhiko gets out-of-link treatment. Poor guy 🙂
How did you enjoy Myriad Colors Phantom World, this time?
This episode is a celebration of Kurumi-chan and her bear.
