・Summary of Episode 1
Hi, Yuki here!
Finally the 2016 winter anime season has begun. I wasn’t the only one looking forward to the anime produced by Kyoto Animation, I believe that anime fans overseas were
looking forward to the anime ‘Myriad Colors Phantom World’ too. After all this wait, I was finally able to watch the first episode and would like to introduce it to all of you.

In order to fight with these phantoms, the academy set up something called a ‘Neural Error Correction Room (NECR)’. Ichijo Haruhiko and his senior Mai Kawakami, members
of the NECR, struggle to fight with those phantoms everyday. Despite that, they got requests again today.
The fascinating, alluring and bewitching fantasy of students with special power. The long-awaited novel ‘Myriad Colors Phantom World’ by KA Esuma Bunko is being turned
into an animation!
Summary of Episode 1
Haruhiko Ichijo and his senior Mai Kawakami, high school students who fight phantoms everyday, are on the same team battling phantoms. However, Haruhiko, who has
terrible reflexes, and Mai, who is the opposite, do not work well as a team. Therefore, their team is also referred as the ‘useless team’. While Haruhiko was trying to build up

Kyoto Animation is fooling the audience around (in a good way)
Impression of the anime? Um…Boombs i guess? (in a good way)
This animation is really Kyoto Animation like, the way they drew lightings and action scenes were pretty amazing. Not to mention, I really feel the tenderness of the characters
in the anime, which always make me feel like wanting to go into the anime world. I wonder how wonderful I would spend my days if I could go into the anime world.
This story is somewhat like a school fantasy where students battle evil creatures called phantoms; however, considering the fact that the anime is heavily humor based and
not entirely battle related, i think it would be better if you consider this anime simply as a ‘fun anime’ instead of a school fantasy.
The scene that i think is really noteworthy is the limbo dance scene.
I thought of writing about it, though it is no doubt that this scene is qualified as the best scene among the rest of the anime in the season. It is really worth taking a look at it.
Kyoto Animation put their very best into this anime.
