“Urgent Quest – Protect the Town from Mobile Fortress Destroyer”
Synopsis: Episode 10
An ancient weapon, mobile fortress named “Destroyer” is on rampage and heading to the town in which Kazuma and his friends live. Facing the worst disaster ever, Aqua leads an evacuation plan. But Kazuma on the other hand doesn’t want to lose the mansion which his party painstakingly acquired. He ransacks his brain to find a way to fight the powerful Destroyer.
He discusses possible solutions with other adventurers of the town, who agree on a scheme to have Aqua break the Destroyers’ barrier, then, have Megumin and Wiz use blast magic to inflict damage on the monster.
Destroyer is coming closer. Just what is going to happen to Kazuma’s fate…?
Only one hour until Destroyer reaches this town…
The threating monster was believed to be created by an ancient archaic kingdom. The townspeople are worried that Destroyer will demolish the entire town. The guild and townspeople agree to have Aqua break down Destroyer’s powerful barrier using her magic, followed by Megumin and Wiz, who blast their explosive magic spells to damage the monster. Darkness volunteers to face the monster at the town limit.
As Destroyer approaches the town, Aqua successfully breaks its barrier, using her powerful magic power. Amazing!
Aqua’s magic is impressive, it’s kinda like Fate’s archer! LOL
Addionally, Megumin and Wiz use their explosive magic to stall Destroyer. Good job! Uh, or so it seems. Sustaining the severe damage, Destroyer’s self-destructing function is activated.
Darkness happens to stand right next to Destroyer at this moment, and Kazuma pleads her to run away with him. But, Darkness is psyched up like never before, and charges at Destroyer which is about to explode. Watching Darkness going in to the enemy, the adventurers who dwell in the town follow her suit and rush toward the explosive Destroyer, in order to protect the town (… the town that provides Succubus Dream service!)
Destroyer’s power source is Coronatight. The core system is about to explode.
Kazuma suggests teleporting the Coronatight away from the town, utilizing Wiz’s teleport magic. But Wiz is terrified of running a risk of teleporting the ticking bomb to somewhere tightly packed. Kazuma persuades her of the fact that he is an extremely lucky guy, plus, whatever happenes, he will be responsible for the outcome, not she. He demands Wiz to teleport the Destroyer’s core without any delay.
Wiz believes Kazuma’s words and performs the teleporting magic, successfully moving the Coronatight to a remote place, while leaving the town safe.
However the danger hasn’t left yet. The heat that has build-up, leaves the Coronatight sustainable for explosion at any given moment. In order to prevent it from exploding, Megumin receives extra magic power from Aqua and unleashes her finest and most powerful explosive magic in order to demolish the Destroyer after all.
In this scene Megumin’s explosive magic seems to swallow up at least the half of a town. LOL
At a later date, a knight from the capitol city reports that Kazuma is charged of royal family upheaval. According to the knight, the teleported Coronatight blew up a mansion that belongs to a rich countryman Aldarp.
Oh man, it was fun!
In the beginning I thought the show is a typical story about a hero thrown into an unfamiliar world, but this one is impossible to categorize in the typical catergory. The voice actors personalities are a perfect match for the leading characters’ unique characteristics. Graphics are spot on and compliments the story and contents. I laughed a lot, really.
The second round production has been recently announced. It looks like we can expect to enjoy more of the KONOSUBA series.
