Only males of the ancestor of a certain race can summon the highest magic armor GARO.
The Garo series is based on a story which is set in 2005 where Makai knights and Makai priests fights evil spirits with the Golden Knight Garo. They have made five television dramas, five movies, a special drama and spin-offs where they based their characters on actual historical people. In 2014 they made their first television animation called “Garo: Houno no Kokuin”.
Heian-kyo, capital and the center of the elegant, aristocratic culture, is heavily guarded by a spiritual force field.
However, there seems to be something going on in the prosperity of the Heian-kyo. In reality, Onmyouji (court magi who creates the spiritual force field) can only defend the palace located in the northern part of the city. While, in downtown, monsters that feast upon human souls, known as “horror”, appear after sunset.
Like Onmyouji protecting the castle, there ia a group of people that protects the commoners from “horrors”. This group of people is called the “Makai Kishi” and the “Makai Priest”. The Makai Kishi (knight)” summons a magic armor to protect people from evil spirits and the “Makai priest” uses magic to support the Makai Kishi.
The story surrounds Raikou, a young guy raised by a Makai Priest, Seimei, and his servant Kintoki, that runs across the city to protect commoners from “horrors”.
“Horrors” that feast upon human souls after sunset. What future would these heroes face?
