KONICHIWA! This is Emi again. Dimension W is creating a buzz among anime fans and the second episode stays consistent in providing cool action plus an intriguing storytelling. The episode starts with a scene where Android girl Mira joins the collector Kyoma to work with him.
Synopsis of second episode
Under the care of Mary Mira agrees to help collecting coils. Kyoma and Mira are convinced that the illegal coil business has some kind of connection with the Loser’s criminal act, which mainly is precious artifacts theft. Kyoma and Mira hurry to the museum when the Loser himself formerly makea an appearance. In front of shocked and bewildered Kyoma, Loser tells him that he knows Kyoma’s past. What is the true identity behind Loser’s mask…?
Highlight 1 New character: Loser
In this episode, a popular public figure called ‘Loser the Thief’ appears for the first time. This person is quite a character – for one, he has never succeeded in the job, so the name “Loser” stucks.
However the name and image are for public stunt only. The real agenda here is not to collect museum junks but to collect unauthorized coils. Though this is not revealed during today’s episode, Loser has an intense vengeance to Tesla Energy, which makes me wonder what Tesla Energy has to do with the unauthorized coil business, and, how Loser came to learn about Kyoma’s interesting past. Who is Loser, anyway? At this point we don’t know if Loser is friend or foe… at any rate I’m curious to see how Loser interacts with Kyoma in later episodes.
Highlight 2 Mira’s great performance
Mira successfully completes her first job assignment as a coil collector. Utilizing her beyond-human abilities such as observation and analysis skills, as well as her physical capability, she singlehandedly detects the source of the communication signal used by Loser.
And, her cuteness shines again in this episode! Fans are excited to see her adorable gesture and outfit. Despite that she is an android, she sheds tears when she is sad. She also looks bashful about changing clothes in front of people. Just like that, sometimes she thinks and acts like a human, which makes me empathize with her character. I want to see more of adorable Mira! Let’s look forward to the next episode.
