The Bubuki Battle between Azuma’s Obu Team and the opponent’s Entei team. In this episode, we have two battles to watch. Obu’s left leg Hiiragi faces Entei’s left leg Zetsubi. Subsequently, Obu’s right leg, Shizuru, competes against Entei’s right leg, Akihito.
Alright, let me share with you some of the highlights from the sixth episodes.
Synopsis: Episode 6
Azuma narrowly defeated the opponent in the second round. As the team moves on to the third round, they find that Horino is actually Zetsubi in disguise. Zetsubi is one of the Reoko’s Shiten-no – the greatest four. Hiiragi and the rest are stunned at this news. That dependable Horino is actually one of the closest followers of their archenemy…? Kinoa demands an explanation from Horino a.k.a. Zetsubi for why she betrayed the team’s trust. Zetsubi brushes off the question as if it means nothing to her. Raged, Hiiragi charges at Zetsubi. However, he finds that he is no match to Zetsubi’s overwhelming Bubuki ability.
Azuma shouts at Hiiragi. “First, figure out what her Bubuki’s ability is.”
This seems to help Hiiragi to cool his head, but…
The Artistic Battle of Two Genius Fighters
Watch and be amazed with the battle scene of Shizuru and Akihito, the two “battle geniuses.” Their swerve actions, the way they use their bodies during combat, the speed, the elegance – it is breathtaking. I dare to say that this is the most visually stunning battle action scene. Additionally, the camera work, the blasting scenes and the other graphic elements are gorgeous. It’s a showcase of great CG work. It feels like SANZIGEN rolled up up their sleeves and put out their best demonstration here.
Nobody Saw This Coming
We are bringing our attention back to the fight between Hiiragi and Zetsubi. Hiiragi realized that he is no match to the overwhelming ability of Zetsubi. His chance of winning this match is getting slimmer and slimmer. While that battle is temporarily on hold, another battle between Shizuru and Akihito ends in complete loss on Shizuru’s side. So, if Hiiragi gives in, The Bubuki Battle would be a draw by 2-2, making the last match between Azuma vs Reoko decide the final winner.
I’m sure that’s what everybody expected. But. The show went above our expectation. The ending was unforeseen. Hiiragi’s tenaciousness brings him a victory over Zetsubi!
With this winning score, the Bubuki Battle is over. Obu team won by 3-1.
The fans of the show excitedly buzzed about this unexpected story development; a lot of them say they didn’t see it coming. Some voiced that they are really looking forward to see how the story develops further.
### Lefty-Chan Note (official Twitter page)
Now the show is in its sixth episode; it feels like some details don’t seem to fit with the original plot. Recently, though, the official Twitter posts address some of these discrepancies so let’s go over them here.
In the “Bubuki Battle” the winning team may take away the Bubuki weapons from the team of the loser.
Matobai and the other three, in other words, Shiten-no (The Four Greatest Gods), or simply put the adult team, don’t own their own Bubuki as they have lost what they had originally inherited from their parents. For this reason, they obtained the core (eye) of the other Bubuki wielder’s Bubuki and utilize them to their benefit in the battle.
Azuma and the other three, namely the kids team, have inherited their Bubuki for several generations. For this reason, their Bubuki’s inherented power tends to be stronger than that of Shiten-no.
Azuma and the team don’t have extensive experience in battles. Nonetheless, they can go neck and neck with Shiten-no. This is because the individual ability to use the Bubuki tools and the Bubuki’s inherented power compensates the low experience points.
