Asuka and Misaki overcame their difficulties on their own, and made a full recovery. That’s how the previous episode ended.
In this episode, Kunahama High School FC Team begins
special training to prep themselves for the upcoming fall tournament. You will see a surprising twist in the story! OK, now, let’s look at the highlight of tenth episodes.
Synopsis: Episode 10
” Is That For FC, Too? ”
With the Fall Tournament approaching, Kunahama High School’s FC team members start an intense training menu. As the players devote their passions to fly more and battle better, the club coach Masaya explores what he can do to answer the team’s aspiration.
With the external help from Rika and Sato-in, the special training heats up. Asuka runs into Saki.
Highlight 1: Saki Strategy
In an upcoming Fall Tournament, the Kunahama High School’s FC team’s new goal is to defeat the summer tournament champion, Saki. As the members devote themselves in the intense training regimen, multiple helpers come join the session. Among them, some unexpected faces can be found.
Here is the list of the helpers.
Sato-in and Rika
The first wave of helpers responds to Asuka’s invitation. They are the first force that joins the training as helpers.
The next helper, Shindo, joins the training per a personal request from Misaki. She implores Shindo to teach her what he has mentioned to her before; a fear of finding someone stronger, a fear of losing games. She pleads Shindo to show her how he can enjoy those fear factors. Not only that, because Shindo has played against Saki once he can copy his moves 100%, which benefits the whole Kunahama team.
As a team coach, Masaya has been exploring different options or ideas on his own, as he is eager to help his team’s players to defeat Saki in the future. He notices that the team is in need of more training partners. After some thoughts, he finds an answer; he volunteers as a training partner. This means that he starts flying again like he used to! I didn’t see that coming. It is a welcoming twist of the story, which gives us more chances to see him flying.
Who would have thought of this? Kagami Sensei decides to join the training! Masaya’s addition was surprising by itself; her participation is even a bigger impact to the story.
Kagami Sensei is a famous FC player and a former World Cup participant. Despite the blank period that she didn’t actively play FC, her performance definitely demonstrates some skills. So cool!
Her FC playing style has a number of followers – especially Masaya and Saki; they learned from her style. The Kunahama FC team can’t ask better collaborator than her.
Highlight 2: What Does “Beautiful” FC Mean?
Now, let’s look at Saki – the tough FC player, the best and strongest rival. The episode portrays her deeper than ever.
This episode actually starts from the scene where Saki and Irina met for the first time in their early childhood. Back then, Kagami was an active FC professional. Watching her play, Saki and Irina both were captivated by the beauty, the level of completion that was demonstrated by Kagami’s FC style. Since that moment, the two girls devoted their lives to excel Kagami’s FC play.
Fast forward to present time, Irina confidently says to herself that their effort will be rewarded very soon in near future.
The screen switches to show off Saki’s private practice scene. Irina commands her to unlock the Grav-Shoes balancer.
Irina frequently mentions about “beautiful FC” – what does that exactly mean? The answer remains vague at this point, but, beautiful FC means to completely dominate the opponent. The concept of the balancer is explained as the controlling device that adjusts the sensor of the Grav-Shoes. In short, the balancer keeps the shoes easier to control. When the balancer is turned off, the shoes react more accurately to membrane control, but the down side is that the player loses stability, which makes it more challenging for the player to fly straight.
