As far as the screenplay goes, Hiroshi Seko joins the team. He is known for his work on the ‘Attack of Titan’ film. He brought forth the intense frustration permeating from the original comic book into the screenplay. He is expected to work his magic again to depict the severe conflicts around the demi-human species, as well as deep frustrations expressed through the eyes of numerous characters.
The music is provided by Yugo Kanno, who has a vast array of experiences such as ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders’, and ‘Psyco-Pass’. His piece will add mind-blowing action-packed tension to the film.

Seventeen years ago in Africa, an American army captured a soldier who doesn’t die, therefore was dubbed as Warrior of God. By this incident, for the first time in mankind’s history, an existence of ‘Ajin’ was confirmed. Ajins are humans that cannot die. Disease, accident, no matter what the reason of physical damage may be, the Ajins can instantly restore their bodies and recover 100% perfect physical strength. It is a dream of mankind to have such an ability, and there seems to be endless ways to take advantage of. A total of 46 Ajin individuals were confirmed, including 2 in Japan.
Their rarity in appearance was described by a phrase something like this: Only death can confirm the answer. Ajins look exactly like humans, therefore they won’t be discovered until they sustain a fatal trauma. It was estimated that larger numbers of Ajin still exist in human society.
In the present day, a Japanese high schooler, Kei Nagai was hit by a truck on his way home from school. He resurrected from the death in no time, leading himself to be officially confirmed as the third Ajin found in Japan.
Kei escaped from the search by the national police force, the Ajin Containment Committee, plus everyone who seeks after generous cash prizes.
Kei ran deep into a mountain, and by the help of long-time friend, Kaito, Kei successfully breached the police siege, and went on running.
Around the same time, the second Ajin broke out of jail. His name is Tanaka. He was locked up in a prison under the Japanese government’s watch, however, he was able to get a helping hand from a guy who called himself the ‘hat.’
Tanaka and ‘hat’ immediately launched a series of terrorist activities targeting all mankind.
Tosaki, the top executive of Ajin Containment Committee, began a vigorous campaign on capturing Kei and quashing terrorism. Kei’s sister, Eriko Nagai quickly became a person of interest. At the same time, yet another Ajin claimed the vengeance to human society. Not only them, a mysterious black substance, called IBM, was quickly approaching.
