Comment from PEACH-PIT, Character Design
I was involved in the project since the planning stage, and all the characters were born as a result of numerous revisions until everyone was satisfied. I was very impressed by the passion of the director and all the other staff. My characters became so colorful and lively with the delicate line drawings by Mr. Yamada. It was a really precious and grateful opportunity and I’ve learned so many things. I am very excited to see the characters in action, sometimes get troubled, and grow stronger over time. I can’t wait to see their adventures!
～Daiki Yamashita will voice Kobayashi, and Ryouta Ousaka will voice Hanasaki!～
Yoshio Kobayashi (14 y.o.)
A boy who has become immortal by a mysterious fog. He hurts too many people because of his immortality, and now he’s very suicidal. He’s very perverse and has a very sharp tongue.
Comment from Daiki Yamashita
Kobayashi carries a heavier burden than the others. He looks as if he has a mature way of thinking, but I think he still has the cuteness of his age, and he wants to be dependent on someone else. Maybe he’s even younger than his age. I hope to act all aspects of Kobayashi and make him attractive.
Kensuke Hanasaki (15 y.o.)
He had joined the Boy Detectives Club with eight years when he first started admiring detective Akechi. He usually moves before he thinks. A natural-born lady-killer.
Comment from Ryouta Ousaka
Hanasaki is basically an optimistic character, so I think I can enjoy acting him in an everyday drama. But he might have something in his mind that he doesn’t show, so I will keep that in mind when acting. If there’s nothing, I think he will still be a great character!
He chooses to be a detective to die.
The story takes place in the 2030’s, the members of the Boy Detectives Club join a mysterious detective, Kogorou Akechi, to solve the mysteries around them with their passion and vitality.
One day, a member of the Boy Detectives Club, Kensuke Hanasaki, meets a mysterious boy Yoshio Kobayashi. Having become immortal by unknown fog, Kobayashi desires to end his life, and he avoids contact with other people.
Hanasaki, curious about Kobayashi, asks him, “Why don’t you join the Boy Detectives Club?”
Kobayashi and Hanasaki. When they meet each other, their lives take an unexpected turn; They become involved in a grudge between the greatest criminal, the Fiend with Twenty Faces, and detective Kogorou Akechi.
