Episode 02 Nothing Good for You is Tasty
The three girls, Youko, Futaba, and Hayama, decided that they needed nicknames to become true friends, and started determining one for each. While Hayama would not tell her first name (Teru) to Youko and Futaba, another girl showed up in front of them.
The previous Story’s Summary
A former rich girl, Youko, had no friends at school for her awkwardness, and was eating lunch alone at a hidden spot in the school yard. Hayama and Futaba met her by chance, they let it take their course and started eating lunch together. Youko’s former servant, Yamaji occasionally interrupts them to bring some food. They have been enjoying a rowdy lunch.
This episode’s Story
The three enjoyed sharing laugh over lunch as usual, but Hayama and Youko were still somewhat stiff and formal. Futaba couldn’t stand it and suggested to call each other by nicknames. Just then, the bush behind Youko started moving, and a cat emerged. Hayama, who loves animals, couldn’t help but adoring the cat, losing her usual calm manner.
The afternoon class after that day’s lunch was gym for Futaba and Hayama. Hayama is no good at sports, and her classmate Nishiyama, who always treats her as an enemy, tried to provoke her, but she had no chance. On the contrary, Hayama overwhelmed her by her glib talk.
After school, the three girls found three kittens abandoned on the way home. The next day, Hayama found them homes for two, but needed another, and Nishiyama’s friend, Kondou informed her that Nishiyama used to own a cat. Nishiyama was still struggling from her pet’s death three years ago, but she agreed to take care of the last cat.
The next day at lunch, they got back to nicknames, and finally decided Youko’s nickname as “Youko-sama”. Futaba brought up that they didn’t know Hayama’s first name yet and attempted to ask her, while Hayama somehow got away with it every time.
Meanwhile, a blond girl showed up, calling Hayama “Teru” loud. She is Kou Hayama, who turned out to be her sister. While Teru being rather wicked, Kou is a ‘natural airhead’. Since both sisters got a foul tongue, Kou could be more vicious for her ignorance.
Futaba fainted after eating Kou’s homemade candy. Can the three really survive with Kou’s cooking from here onward?!
Teru (Hayama)’s older sister appeared in this episode. She looked like an angel at one glance, opposite to Teru’s devil-ish portrayal, but she has got the same foul tongue. Her cooking skill is murderous, and she’s got an amazing luck on her side, she is certainly a unique character.
As we can see in their at-home scene, it appears that Teru easily gives in to Kou basically. It was fun to see a different part of Teru in this episode.
With a new character’s appearance, it looks like it’s getting even more lively! See you at the next episode’s review!
